I don’t really watch any nerf content anymore, but I did want to let you know that I really loved your vids when I was younger. Glad to see you still love the hobby, even if my own tastes have changed! It looks like both the official stuff and the community stuff has gotten crazy lately, and you’ve always had some of the coolest shit around. Rock on man, and much love brother
That is an absolutely awesome comment. Thank you for that. :)
@@CaptainXavier anytime my friend
I, for one, am super happy to have so many options in the space. Rotating between modded Trions, Nexus Pro, SLAB and Caliburns, etc. makes for a lot of variety. They can all be made to perform similarly, if you want, but the emotional feel of each of them is very different. The Nexus is a brute, the Trion is sleek, the SLAB is suave and the Caliburn is OPERATOR. I'm also very excited for my Harrier in the mail.
I loved the spring adjuster, clever idea and worked great. Except the spring retention caps tend to blow up after awhile due to being 3d printed. I did some experimenting and annealed one in a toaster oven lol, it lasted quite a bit longer.
you should do a video on "tuning" a blaster. Everyone talks about tuning their blasters but no one ever really does a video on how to do that.
Lots a great options there. Bangarang!
Life is a journey. Time is a river. The door is ajar.
This video was enlightening
I'm tempted to make one myself out of the stock injection molded endcap and a bolt.
I think a lot of people watch your channel on their TV's with Roku, Chrome and whatever else is out there. Those devices don't make it easy to leave a like on video. I've actually gone to the trouble pull the videos on my phone so I could 'like' them.
I need to get back into modding. I've got 3+ projects that I just abandoned and left unfinished because of... reasons... sigh...
I've got 3 of these blasters, probably pick up a few more, but that's beside the point. #1 stock, no mods, hits constant 109-131fps with a notable hiss, #2, stock, also no mods, hits quite varied, but much harder than #1, 125-190, with a slightly less noticeable hiss when the fps drop below 160 or so. They're probably always making some kind of noise, I just can't hear it at currently audio sensory levels (age related..?)
#3, is still new/inbox-w/tape.
I plan to mod each in a different theme. Integration, Mod, and Paint.. Make it look like it's from a SciFi movie, you're well versed, I'm sure.
All this ramble to say, these blasters are a great place to start, but they all need "tuning" as you say.
I'm also sure that both stocks also lessen the danger of damaging the Nexus buffer tubes as you brace more against the blaster itself and not against the buffer tube. The only downside I see with the 3D Printed Solid stock is that it doesn't look like it has place to loop a sling into
I misunderstood the thumbnail as 3 darts per second nexus upgrades for a sec and I was like what 😳😂
With a brass barrel and accusaber with a decent seal I'm seeing 200s with it dialed up
I think that thumb screw would be nice to be replaced with one of those neodymium magnets, but that's just my opinion.
Gosh this innovation of the Nexus Pro by Out of Darts is way too cool! super convenient in adjusting the FPS and stylish!
what is your preferred method of tuning the nexus pro, other than the different end caps available?
Don't have one. Never tuned a Nexus. As evident by neither of these being tuned. ;)
@@CaptainXavier is that snark I hear from you Sir? Sir!
Maybe a little. ;)
Currently printing a Juno stock cause I want this but don't want to pay money
Are you going to try and get your hands on a game face trion or worker harrier??
Harrier us already on the way. No word yet on the Trion.
Has anyone ever made a nexus pro that was specifically re-chambered for ultra darts?
No
@@CaptainXavier I think you might already know this but the ultra 2 can naturally chamber n-strike whistling darts. And I have noticed that the battery door looks like it has a metal insert for the retention screw.
Captain, I possess a stock retaliator and a stock Aeon pro. Could I put Aon pro internals in my retaliator. Also, why do you leave your safeties in on your more higher power, blasters such as the nexus. I also do this I’m just curious as to what your stance is.
You can try...
I don't. When you put a Nexus on a flat surface with the barrle pointing to the right (as I did in this video) the safety gets pushed by itself.
@@CaptainXavier what I mean is why don’t you disable the mechanism or add a safety delete?
@mantahcorpproductions2711 ... because removing built in safety features is foolish...
@@CaptainXavier I agree, except for the trigger lock so that I can deprime my blaster! Though I will be either adding the safety delete from Drac or flipping the safety around in my dress, a pro, as it will be used for an under barreled attachment! Do you have any thoughts on this?
@@mantahcorpproductions2711 none, what so ever.
Silly question, but what is that you have fitted on the end of your Nexuses' barrels?
I believe they are scars
They are not technically SCARs. They are minimalist rifled inserts. I did a review on them a while back. Super cool.
@@CaptainXavier oh right my bad I forgot that
@@CaptainXavier I'll have to look for those reviews you did then! They look neat, at the very least.
It's kinda neat, but kinda not worth it since Nexus Pros are now down to $50 bucks and use separate caps, springs, and barrels for each one you buy.
In store I can only get the purple camo near me at 60. Except one Walmart that has them at 40 for some reason
