Everything about this design screams yes yes yes yes!

Will the foils be able to retract to gain access to shallower waters?

Absolutely fucking amazing I have seen the future never again will a boat not have a foil

I love hydrofoils, but the problem is that you still get motion sickness if you have to stop or go slowly because of bad weather. So my thought was this: A SWATH hull that has hydraulic struts to compensate for any motion at any speed and completely remove seasickness! Perhaps the SWATH-hull could also send out air bubbles from the front, to remove friction at higher speeds.
Or it could transform to a regular hydrofoil at higher speeds.
Btw, Have you checked out the new Candela C8?

I would love to know what the fuel consumption is at various speeds vs a conventional yatch of this size at various speeds. I’m sure this yatch is fantastically efficient, but I want to see the numbers

The hydrofoils should be able to break off if you hit an underwater object, so the hull does not get damaged.. An active hydrofoil would be fantastic for all the people that usually get seasick.

draft might be as important as speed for a yacht, speed for a boat with a crew might not be so important, a combination of a slow boat a chopper might be even faster and more fuel efficient

I would be afraid of slicing through marine mammals with the foils.

Every boat powered by conventional props has been doing this since the dawn steam powered ships.
Kinda late to be worried about that.

@@psygnale not true, they avoid you if you make waves and go slowly, they avoid you better

@@psygnale not true, marine safe propellers exist on many yachts they are often surrounded by incasement/mesh so no fish can be hit by it

Luckily, Florida and Bahamian waters are mostly calm and we don’t need this expensive technology. P.S. don’t run these babies aground.

It doesn't matter if waters are calm, a hydrofoil is much more effecient at higher speeds than a hull.
