    what wrench did you use to remove the filter? Mine is stuck on so tight I cant get it off..!

    • @WrenchesCorner
      @WrenchesCorner  Месяц назад

      You can use a socket type allen or torx bit. Those angled allen wrenches don't work as well. Good luck!

    I have a question for you, I have a M8 2017 and they run not as lean as a twin cam. There is about a 10% leeway on the M8. My question is if I put slip-ons with a high flow Air filter do I really need a tune? Remember I'm still using my M8 cover so the air flow would be a little less then say an full open Air filter. Thank you and nice videos

    • @WrenchesCorner
      @WrenchesCorner  Год назад +2

      I have installed pipes and air filters on m8 before and sometimes the bike handles it just fine. You can install them and see. A good test would be to take it on a test ride and listen for deceleration backfires. roll off the throttle and don't pull the clutch in. As the engine is winding down it shouldn't backfire. The more it backfires on decel, the leaner it is. A couple little quiet pops is ok, but backfiring is not good and you will need to tune it until the backfire goes away. Good luck with your project!

      @@WrenchesCorner this answer is good to know. The previous owner changed the pipes on my new to me 1998 FLSTC, it runs good until the plugs become to fuel fouled like it’s burning rich. I’m going to clean the air filter first before trying to tune it. Today I put in new plugs instead of cleaning them again. But the bike does have some subtle backfiring on decel? Enough to notice. She also seems weak like she doesn’t start fast and she is sluggish from the stop. 34k miles on motor. What’s your take wrenches corner?

    • @WrenchesCorner
      @WrenchesCorner  2 месяца назад +2

      @AbersonPlastering Hi, I would check the intake manifold seals for leaks. It probably has old seals and need to be changed. Leaky intake can cause decel backfire. If you spray starter fluid at the intake where it goes into the engine ( after it warms up), it will try to stall the engine if they are leaking.if you have a lean conditon backfire and still fouling plugs, I would probably think about changing out the ignition system. A bad ignition system can foul plugs. Also low compression can foul plugs. Check compression. You could also need a carb clean. Good luck with your bike!

    How about a leaf blower for quick drying

    • @WrenchesCorner
      @WrenchesCorner  Год назад +1

      You should let it air dry. You can blow fiberglass out of it. Just plan on doing it when you can allow it to dry naturally. Thanks for watching!
