@@SteamandThings haha I had a day like that in my launch... was just holding to together for the gal who couldn't swim 👀😬 Made as straight a shot I could for the lee shore and hoped all the jostling didn't stir up sediment to clog the burner.
@@WesleyHarcourtSTEAMandMORE it was the first time the boat had been used anywhere other than the canal and we were quite surprised the difference in coal consumption in weather like that when compared to on the canal. We did the full length of Windermere and back and the bunkers were empty - it was nearly a case of burning the curtains and cushions to get back! 😂
