Watched everyday when I was 10 years old! Loved reliving all these episodes... My brother and I used to strap on pillows and play like we were scuba divers! All over the rooms of our little house making hissing noises!
thanks this was a great show I love it I am 42 and never seen this show till this year heard of it just never seen it ..and just enjoying it greatly ...thanks
This was actually the pilot which Ivan Tors and Frederic Ziv used to initially try and sell the show to the networks - that’s why the 1956 copyright date. Why those guys decided to release this in 1958 as the fourth episode in the series I have no idea (I wouldn’t be born for another 2 years anyway)
20:33, A ZIV Dance, in 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8 beat, What’s the title of this Mystery Ziv Dance? And 21:34, is TC-2, from Reel D-7, cut #8, from Capitol Hi-Q Series, a crossover from the ZIV Production Music Library.
I agree, you left out the word "then" though, hmm late tonite it's either Sea Hunt with Lloyd Bridges or Highway Patrol with Broderick Crawford, gawd I wish she would loose 100 lbs from her five foot tall 225 lb body.
I became a scuba diver because of this show. It's great to re-watch them again. Thank you so much.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Cool series. One of its kind.
Thank you Keylie for sponsoring these old episodes - they bring being a kid in the ‘60s back. Great memories!
You don't have to be a kid from the 60s to enjoy these. I just started watching them in 2023

We used to "swim" throughout the house, going, "Blooloolooloop! Blooloolooloop!"
I was ten in '58, and did my "Sea Hunt" in the bath on Saturday evenings ... afterwards.
These are written so well...they feel like one hour episodes...so much happens.
Oooooh! those white shorts!
I used to envy Jeff & Beau for having the neatest Dad -- ever!
I've heard there's a type of genius which intimidates and one which inspires. Bridges obviously inspires. :)

70 years old now--remember every episode. Other shows like Sky King, Soupy Sales and Jerold McBoing Boing were the high lite my week.
Am 67, & remember the shows you said!!!!!!!!!
It's funny because at first Mike Nelson calls the coast guard officer lieutenant and when he says goodbye he calls him a captain
I miss marineland!
It's always the person you least expect,or so it seems sometimes.
My grandmother fixed a couple of egg cartons together with some rope so i could have air tanks.
Nice
That is cool!
i had "double" Quaker Oats boxes
Qdo criança assistia todos os dias. Ótimas recordações desta época. Como era emocionante este seriado!! Obrigado por postar.
Topper!!
Still interesting stories since first airings . . .
You see the marks!
the copyright at the end of the closing credits of this episode is 1956 which is before the 1st season even began in early 1958!
They must have shopped it around for awhile before a network bought it.
The opening suggests that this is the pilot, even if it wasn't used as the premiere. It introduces us to Mike Nelson.

"Mark of the Octopus" was the first Pilot (Copyright 1956). " 60 feet below" was the 2nd Pilot (copyright 1957)
@@seikibrian8641 As I read, they did shop the show around but no network would take it.

Why is the "Lieutenant" wearing his dress uniform on regular patrol?
new TV script, mike nelson wakes up to see that everything is black and white.
I knew a girl that used to leave marks like that on my neck!
Hi! I am wondering for what is the bag around the neck that Mike was using with the full face mask in 5:08? Thanks for the series! Love it!
That was a hood that he did not have on
I was about to say how could anyone dislike an episode of Sea Hunt and then I saw the capture of a porpoise.
At least he gets to play basketball
In the 1950's, it wasn't considered a bad thing.
I agree, you left out the word "then" though, hmm late tonite it's either Sea Hunt with Lloyd Bridges or Highway Patrol with Broderick Crawford, gawd I wish she would loose 100 lbs from her five foot tall 225 lb body.
1950s and 1960s were a different time.
It's still not a bad thing....happens all the time. Caught in net, caught to be tagged, caught for research etc.
The killer had a weird voice
That manta ray is not a strange specimen. Marineland already had a number of them. And that one was nowhere near 3000 LBS.
That's also not a manta ray, it's a stingray.
yes despoiled another area for industry polluted and now unfit yo cap it a lism
