Attaching and Using the Janome AcuFeed Flex Foot

The built-in walking foot system known as the Janome Acufeed Flex System is a great way to feed layers of fabric (like quilts) evenly through the Acufeed equipped machine. Here's how to put it on properly.

Thank you for this video. It helped me troubleshoot my acufeed issue- I had not done the final connection so my upper feed dogs were not engaged. Problem now solved.

Yes, and the S9 comes with it.

I really like the close ups so helpful to view exactly what you are demonstrating. Do you have to have fabric under the foot before you start sewing? Since the feed dogs grab the fabric above and below will there be an issue if you start sewing off of the fabric then onto the fabric?

You'll always get a cleaner start if the fabric is under the needle (or after a leader piece in the case of chain piecing) but it doesn't have to be, no.

No you cannot. The machine has to be built with the inner components. The S6 and above come with it.
