This game reminds me about ghibli movies. The enemies look like no-face in spirited away while the animals i beleive they was based on princess mononoke style. The enviroment is simple but it was so good. This game is the gold
2:02:30 why i came here. For the jumps, you dont need to use Neva. just regular attack on the explosive blobs. happy to see im not the only one struggling with this.
Damn this was sad I cried twice, I love animal games like this, preferably without the sadness or bittersweet ending, but still. I loved seeing the combat and Neva evolve over the game, her being included in some attacks to the ground attacks, and then every attack. Gorgeous art and animation. Reminds me of Seasons After Fall. If any commentors liked Neva, you will like that. It has a narrator which makes the story a bit more "engaging". And if you like those you'll like Lost Ember. Both of which are beautiful games with beautiful stories, and animal POVs.
That jump at 1:56:31 i just cvant make it. Crashing into the lower block. I see you make the jump, do you do dubble jump and then dash? pointing up or to the left or something?
@@torr3nt1albreak the lower block on the right, then break the upper one on the left, climb the wall on the left, jump on the on the upper left one when in returns, break the upper right one, climb the right wall, U R wellcome :))
@@alisalam4589 Funny I figured this out yesterday right after I wrote this comment. I still don't know how OP did that insane jump in this video which almost seems like a glitch which defies the controls in this game.
I did it another way than in the video. think that you should non necesserily do the pattern " JUMP+JUMP+DASH". Sometimes you have to " JUMP + DASH + JUMP". I got through by breaking the bottom cube on the first column (right) then the top cube on the second column (left and immediately "JUMP + DASH + JUMP". Then, you should understand why there are flowers on the left wall.
@@MrChronoloGeek I did that and I got stuck in the first cracked cube and that made it a lot easier because I could break the one on the left and then the one I´m stuck in haha, this room kinda sucked ngl
How I did it was I broke the first block while on the wall, then jumped and broke the second block. Then you are standing on top of the bottom block and can jump onto the white flowers on the wall, wait for the blocks to spawn back and boom
Thank you for this!! I just finished Gris, and although it is ‘simple’ to some, it’s easy to get stuck on some places. Although I do admit, I was SO WORRIED about neva the first time she was hurt as a pup. The anxiety!! The game is spectacular
Nah. It's good but Gris is a masterpiece. The music. The use of colour to mark the stages of grief. The reveal... The final scene where you... ✨🧗♀️Gris is a game I still distinctly remember playing that Autumn in the apartment in Venice CA by the beach with the wild fire burnt wood smell and the ocean sounds. Will remember Gris forever. This one not so much.

No, I thinks it’s the same Neva from the beginning, the intro shows us the end of the gameplay. Since chapter one, we see the girl and Neva journey throughout the land, battling the evil that’s plaguing the lands. At the end, the evil scars Neva trying to infect her but Neva fights back, later she has an offspring with the Grey Wolf we see earlier. However, the evil returns to finish what it started, so were brought back to the beginning of the game. Neva fights back but is injured in battle, sacrificing herself, she transforms the evil into a tree, giving it new life. The girl mourns her friend and companion, leaving her with her offspring to take care of. But she also leaves behind hope, a new life, a new beginning. Wow, did not expect it to go that deep! But that’s how I interpreted the story.
I’m here because I’m stuck somewhere this game is amazing. I don’t know which one I like better to be honest. I think I like this and Gris equally. I still can’t believe I got her for 20 bucks through Nintendo shop
A game lasting less than ten hour I will never buy no matter what the price. I want to be immersed in the game where I feel I make progress and learn a lot of new things as I go along. If I love the game but its only three hour I will feel let down that it ended pretty much when the fun started. But that's just me.
I would say “blatantly inspired by”. I thought the same thing, that the monsters had similarities to No-Face, and elements that are inspired by Princess Mononoke. Not a copy. No. That’s not the right word in this scenario.
@@arunpradhan415 it's more dynamic than Gris. It's the essence of what Nomada does actually. It's all about appreciating every single scene. Everything is wallpaper material, from the begining to the very end. First game you have to confront mourning. It's something ugly and slow. In this game it's pretty much realted, but with the cycle of seasons. They wanted the players to contemplate the meaning of cycles according to me. You know how it starts, you get the feeling of what's next and how it's gonna end, and yet you appreciate every single step on the way.
Eh.. All you do mostly is run around and jump around in this game on platforms. No real good story, or enemies really at all.. It may look sort of nice, but the game is very lazy.

Stop everything!!!!
NEVA has started 🗣️🗣️
Such an amazing game. Some of the commenters dont realize this genre is supposed to be 90% story and art and 10% gameplay by design.
reminds me heavily of okami, okami is far longer though
wait, there is a story in this game?
22:18 adorable reunion xD

Thanks for uploading this video! I was wondering what the game was like!
The art is beautiful!
Great video!

Glad it helped! I was stuck at a few parts too.
The game had me teary almost for all of it 😔

It's okay to cry I was teary eyed throughout most of it 😭
so relaxing
Better than Gris, easily. More nuanced gameplay (which makes the biggest difference), while keeping the good things they're known for.
I think I'll play this game sometime 👌
I almost liked Gris more. It was a nice game but harder in parts for no reason.
TY FOR THE VID!

Does Neva die at the end? I don't want to see it, can someone tell me please?
It's a repeat cycle. Unfortunately yes, but always has an offspring to take their place
Does but breaks the cycle at the end
