I think Valek never like it because it’s from the heart and soul despite the song came from someone else (Demons and evil never liked nor enjoyed anything positive that’s just what I think)
This is one of my favorite scenes from the movie. The whole movie is so dark and sometimes scary, but in this scene you forget about the darkness and it makes you smile. This scene brings out the light to this poor family and you can feel the love they have for each other, not to mention the love Ed and Lorraine share.
I love how The Conjuring not only tries to creep the shit out of the people like all the time, but that they take time to make the audience sympathize with the characters as well. Makes the whole movie experience so much deeper and fuller than most of these cheap horror movies...
This is the first horror movie that makes me smile in a heartfelt way, even the feeling a bit teary. Any other horror movie that has me giddy is when an antagonist gets wrecked or some epic moment happens and even then, it doesn’t really leave an impact after I’m done with the movie. This scene however, I can still recall this more than most of the scenes in the movie. The song hits me in a more personal level, there’s a calm before the storm feel, the family who been facing poltergeist activity for the longest time gets some levity with the music that their dad took away.
This scene made me really care about Ed and Lorraine and honestly the entire family... it was a really good choice adding this scene to the movie. We saw another side to all of the characters. It wasn't one of those horror movies where you didn't care if the characters died. I wanted all of them to live so badly, I was balling my eyes out lol.
Valak has my respect for not ruining this masterpiece scene from the movie❣️ such a beautiful tribute to elvis! Patrick sung it beautifully😍 I come here just to listen this masterpiece in patrick's voice! he's just amazing ❣️
I remember being in the theater watching this movie with my girlfriend, a few minutes before the movie started we had a little argument so the situation wasn't the best one... until this scene came in. As soon as he stopped singing, we were tearing up so I just had to hug her and since that day this is our song. I really love her.
Dragonite907 You familiar with the third stage of grief, denial. The wife is clearly imagining the husband still there because she cannot get over her loss. Of course, this requires an exceptional IQ to get so I’m not surprised you didn’t catch on
1:58 Lorraine is thinking, "This is why I married Ed in the first place". She looked like she fell in love with him all over again. Beautiful scene! The Conjuring 2 really explored the beautiful relationship between Ed and Lorraine even further, and their wonderful sense of chemistry is another reason why they were so successful. Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson share a beautiful chemistry together, too ❤️
This is my favorite scene in the movie. And the way his wife looked at him as he sang just melted my heart. And it seems the kids were very smitten with him as well
The best thing about the conjuring universe is they have characters we root for. They have an actual story. I especially love how Ed and Lorraine help the families in more than a spiritual way. E.g. in conjuring 1 and 2 you can find ed helping around the house fixing things for the family.
Well the movies idealized them way much. There’s a lot of awful stories about them and how dishonest they were dealing with this supposedly paranormal cases, they actually got interesting footage on video but in reality they were more about the money than anything else
@@schizoplay9608actually most of the stuff on the movies is just added for story. Ed and Lorraine never really stayed quite long in the investigations, for the Hodgson investigation they stayed for about a day or two and for the Perrons, the Perrons claimed they never got real help from the Warrens other than for a few days and they left afterwards. The movies make the Warrens look like selfless heroic ghost hunters but they were just journalists who came in and took any creepy thing they could find and add it to their museum.
I see these pure loving scenes in all of these movies (Conjuring 1, 2, 3) and I just hope so much that Ed and Lorraine took those moments to smile at each other, to dance together, to hold hands. Stunning.
I love this scene, you can literally feel the essence of Ed and Lorraine's love...a love so powerful that no demon has been able to break...R.I.P Ed and Lorraine Warren; The physical proof that love will conquer any evil
This scene came out of nowhere and man it's powerful. This part of the movie is where I knew I liked this movie more than the first, and I love the first one.
I absolutely loved this scene. It was so heartwarming and sweet in the middle of all the horror and chaos. Idk why this scene sticks with me even to this day
Beautiful moment. The light was seeping into the darkness for just a short few minutes. But you can feel the hope and the beautiful harmony when they all start singing. This is my favorite scene. Many others are but this one stands out because in a movie full of darkness they are allowed to feel at least free for a couple of minutes. This, this is what peace and harmony looks like. The look on all their faces says it all. It makes you want to cry and believe in the hope that something good is waiting on the other side of the tunnel. You completely forget you're watching a horror film. And it turns into a beautiful masterpiece. Bravo. ❤
First and only horror movie I've ever actually cried during watching...so beautiful during this scene and when they dance together at the end to this song...I fell in love with this movie for that, alone. When you see Patrick and Vera look at each other while Patrick's singing...it gets me, man.
Each times I watch this scene, I just wish to already jump in time, having a really good job, a house and a car, enough money to live, by mercy, a sweet, comforting, trustful and loving wife and having the joy of a family. That’s exactly why I am still desperately alive.
Unless there is another story of something with the devil because these movies are based off true story’s and then at the end it tells you a little bit of the real story
I'm from China, when I heard this song in this moive, I found it's so touching, then I came to know Elvis and fell in love with his song. Thank you James, Thank you Patrick!

The pain in the eyes of haunted girl helping me tackling evil in my life.
This was the place where for the first time heard this song. Then after few years, I mean now I'm listening to it.Such a masterpiece. I also heard the cover from my favourite singers like Ed Sheeran and more.
had my first kiss to this song to this movie, maybe not the best movie, but absolutely the best song, it was perfect
This scene is such a magical moment in the movie even if nothing goes well, you never have to lose hope ❤️🥰
Vera's performance in this scene gets seriously overshadowed by Patrick's. Such a powerful display of emotion. This scene alone is so well done.
Loved this scene. The feeling of hope and love in the song felt like a perfect contrast to the horrible events happening in the film and inspiring hope and positive sides of the human spirit.
