Perhaps the greatest opening anthem song of all time. 'Out of the Business' in 1983 was way beyond its time, yet it still resonates in the 21st century. Thank you 'Tubes' for giving me my summer of '83 (the best summer of my life) and beyond.

Someone gave me tickets to this tour when I was 15. It was at Dekalb Community College in Atlanta. I saw many concerts in the 80’s and this was by far the most memorable.

I saw them at only 14 in 1976. A bit scandalous!

Cool, I grew up 5 minutes from DCC in Tucker GA in the 70's/80's. My dad used to take me to HS football games when I was very young at their facility. Can't imagine seeing the Tubes there! Was the concert on that field on indoors? I was 14 when She's a Beauty was a big hit but only discovered their entire catalog in the last 10-15 yrs. Whatta hugely talented band that gets forgotten or remains unknown, sans SAB and Talk to ya Later.

@@michaelvandiver2475 It was indoors. I probably knew you. I graduated from Tucker in ‘86. Haha.

They played my school in Allentown that year. I didn’t go, but I understand the party they threw at the hotel following the show was something else.

Exceptionally intelligent band on all levels. Perfectly encapsulated in this innovative meta-opening.

Note on the set up scene thye are carring the female mannequin that comes alive during She's a Beauty. Small details in their show blow me a way!

The Completion Backward Principle and Outside Inside were back to back classics that should have done a lot better than they did. Maybe just too ahead of the curve way back then.

" The Ayatollahs of Rock n Roll , the Tubes ! " . For all you youngins out there it's a reference to Ayatollah Khomeini who became supreme fundamentalist and top leader of Iran around 1980 . I can say the following cause Im Polish - That mother fucking pollock security advisor to President Jimmy Carter , Zbigniew Brzezinski threw US support to the crazy fundies in Iran (and in Afghanistan ) when there was still a Iranian parliamentary faction who still controlled the police and military in 1978-79 after the Shah was ousted in 1978-79 Iran revolution . Z the mofo did it only because he hated the Russians . the ussr was not a threat being in Afghanistan and no way wanted to go occupy Iran . Afghan males and females were modern, western, no hijabs needed, women were doctors, etcetera when the russians came in to fight the US backed Al Qaeda fundies in Afhanistan .
