50,000 Candy Hearts! I Create a HUGE Artwork
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 9 сен 2024
- I got 50,000 conversation heart candies. I was going to make them a Valentine's Day DIY craft sculpture but that wasn't Outrageous enough. Sooo...I crushed the hearts. I got a chak-pur. And I attempted the Tibetan art of mandala sand painting. Did I achieve zen? Did I truly grasp non-attachment? Am I basically a buddhist monk now? Yes, of course and also join my Patreon!

Hey best pal-y! I’m your musician, comedian, internet buddy. I’m dedicated to giving you music & comedy & fitness awesomeness every Thursday. Thanks for joining me on my adventures and being a part of this band of outrageous friends I’ve got :)
- Ali
This is not the first time I've made something Outrageous with candy... AND THEN DESTROYED IT ruclips.net/video/sZ1SprNear8/видео.html
Your such a sweet treat this Is amazing
HI Pal! Im a Tibetan Buddhist Lama that trained for three and a half years to make one of these. LOL> you know what we got to do while we 'trained'? Yea...all that sifting and grinding and sorting!
You're....choc full of ideas. The canshe of candy.
😊😊😊😊😍😍
I think a giant fun dip would be fun to do with the leftovers!
I'm so glad to see that you wore a proper mask while blending, and I really appreciate that you mention how long each step actually takes you - helps to truly appreciate how outrageous you really are!
Thank you for not zoning out when I mention numbers!!! :)
@@alispagnola We love numbers here! I think you probably have some of the most _outrageous_ statistics of any human. who else can say they played with pounds of ex-candyheart dust lol
Maybe I've watched too much Evan and Katelyn, but I think this needs to be covered in resin.
think she should have at least sprayed it lightly with water so the color would show up more vibrant.. but I also think she should have preserved it somehow like Evan and Katelyn always do
that's the same thing I thought haha
Yes 😂
We both watch them a questionable amount 😅
FRRR
I love them
HAPPY TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE CANDY HEARTS SCRULPTURE!!!!!!!
actually, 2. but happy anniversary!! you probably just didn't see the year
@@charlottebeads thank you!
I feel like you could do a whole new design or five with all the spare sugar sand or possibly turn it into different coloured fondant icing and use it as sugar clay for sculptures! For the unblendered ones maybe making a mosaic with the tiny pick up lines though the lack of diversity in colours will make it a very pastel design.
OH MY GOODNESS I JUST GOOGLED "SUGAR CLAY" I DIDN'T KNOW IT EXISTED AND I'M SO GLAD YOU EXIST
@@alispagnola In India there's a festival where everything is made of sugar. Dolls, Cutleries, Plates, Tiny Temples, Flowers, AND the sand art that you made. It's amazing :)
@@alispagnola omg I didn’t know you even replied that’s very cool. And I think we’re all very glad you exist 😆 it’s like a burst of sunshine getting your videos in my feed. I’ve worked on celebration cakes for family events so using sugar paste as modelling clay is something I’m familiar with I made a tiny gingerbread village including trees and a church on a Christmas cake once.
Who else was hoping she'd just flip the board at the end. Lololol. Ali's dedication to her art and her process is just such a delight to watch.
Being Ali’s friend IRL seems like it would be such a blast
I would have made you sort with me
@@alispagnola no cap, i love sorting things so id totally be game 😅
@jazz.Morales same I love turning chaos into order. It's my happy place!
No lie I would have taken them to school with me and had my students help sort. They all love sorting things
@@alispagnola sounds great, we just put on some music and sort, and then me and my autism believe that we hung out and socialized
I know that the originating idea was to do something with conversation hearts, but I couldn't help but think halfway through that pixie sticks would have saved you a TON of effort on tedious steps in this particular end-project.
It's about the journey ;)
but also- sooo much more plastic :/ i'm sorta glad she did it this way tbh.
@@ryan-fk4kn did pixie sticks switch to plastic? I still recall them being in paper straws (but I haven't bought them in years).
@@silentben in australia they've always been packaged in plastic. i've never heard of them be packaged in paper before! super interesting. i'd imagine more expensive though.
Our pixie sticks are still paper.
"Elephant shoes" to Ali ... This needs to be the way the Pali-s send the luv ❤
And to think at the beginning I thought the sorting of the hearts into colours was time consuming.... You have shown more patience in this one video than I have had in my ENTIRE LIFE! It was amazing!
I can't believe the algorithm kept this gem hidden from me for a month and a half! I'm amazed at how much "sand" those hearts made (and how little was used on the painting). The "sugar clay" somebody mentioned below sounds like a lot of fun. Mixed media outrageousness incoming?
Your sand painting turned out amazing Ali! Great work. =D
Almost as good as my previous candy creation ;)
Next time "How much soil can you replace with candy heart dust and still get chia seeds to grow" lol
Having made some tedious art before the destruction of her piece at the end really spoke to me. I know how precious I feel about peices I've made or helped others make through such laborious processes in art. Seeing her do it felt devastating, relieving and fun, all at the same time!
Thanks Spags 😁
You could try turning the powder sugar back into giant hard heart or other shaped candies. Hopefully you didn’t get too much of a sugar high while doing this project.
You could take the extra powder and make those rainbow sand jars and give them to random people! It could be a sister project to your free painting thing!
Absolutely wonderful! Send bags of the sifted colors to various youtubers that do 3D resin printing or resin lathe turnings. They could mix the sugar into the resin and make some cool objects that match your conversation theme.
It sounds like a instrument we played in music class 5:24
I love that you share the STRUGGLE of your projects!! Art is so hard!!
Hey Ali! Next time you do this, put glue on the parts you want of the certain color. say you wanted the elephant and the hearts to be pink. You put glue on where you want those to be, and then pour the sand on. And it will also stay.
Love how she said I have 1 more day to Publish this for valentine's day when she had 3 more days because this came out 3 days before valentine's day
With the leftovers you should do a when holidays collide type project. Candy corn vs candy canes vs Conversation hearts vs Easter Peeps.
+++
Yes, yes, yes, a battle of the candies.
We use to use them as chalk blend it sift it. Mist with water to bring out color
The remaining unmolested hearts need to be fashioned into an anatomically correct 3D sculpture of a human heart! Do it now! 🙂❤️
13:16 "after several days"
It was on my recommended today ❤
I literally just found you today and I’ve watched so many of your videos
I actually thought you were going to use a mortar and pestle to literally crush those hearts. I wonder if getting something like a food processor or coffee grinder would have held up better than the blender.
13:34 That was personal 😂
Edible chalk art awesomeness!!!! Fantastic!! 💛💚💙💜🤍
The world is a better place with you in it, thank you for sharing your art with us. You make an incrediblely difficult process lighthearted and entertaining. Everytime I think I have a handle on the bounds of your talent and drive you push harder and break through. You're incredible!
Ali this is so awesome and i Heart you 50000 times
if you ever need help sorting my autism makes me amazing at it also i was expecting the pink hearts to be the biggest pile so i was surprised when it was the smallest
whoa that big hammer was awesome
Ali your not appropriating your appreciating very different you've given credit to the original culture so its appreciation not appropriation
loved the dating yourself bit
and finally you actually destroyed it i am thoroughly impressed with your dedication to the art-form Spags, my suggestion for what to do with the sand is go somewhere fire safe and toss it into the air over a field of lit candles because the sugar should be fine enough that it will all burst into flame immediately and i think that would be an insane fire storm
It’s actually so beautiful, but I can’t stop thinking about almost 5 weeks worth of being all sticky and covering everything in your home with sugar dust, not to mention all the physical pain she endured, all just to destroy it 😭
I feel like she should have had a friend or her roommate over to see it in all it’s glory and help with the destruction at the end. This video shouldn’t be the the only appreciation of that work.
@@JLoDucky roommate? I thought she was her girlfriend/wife?
If you still have all that sand/hearts, it might be cool to make a candy zen garden, maybe even layer the different colors so that when you rake through the sand it makes different patterns. You could even use some non-crushed hearts as the leaves on a candy tree.
I smiled from the beginning to the end... That is some seconds short of a quarter of an hour of pure joy. Thank you!
Oh, and my friend Monk182 says "Oh, boy! She's going to be reborn into Naraka!" ;) I disagree, I think you'll just enter Outrageous Bliss and live beyond this realm that you continually transcend with your Art!
Oh wow Amazing, I can say I've never seen that done before and I watched the whole video. We love you Ali!
FULL VIDEO PAL-Y!
If you need another use for crushed up sugar you could make sugar rocket motors! Loved the video!
I bet you could make something super cool using those hearts with resin. Maybe suspend them in the shape of flowers or fish or something.
Absolutely masterful. Much zen. So sweet. I applauded your journey 🍬💝
In the UK they are called 'Love Hearts' and they are circular with a heart shape and a message molded into them.
You are so incredibly outrageous Ali ❤ it .
Okay the heart in a blender song was so subtle and so perfect
Great video! I'm sure the monks will be very supportive.
That ending where she's talking to the people who skip to the end, that is so my bff. She always skips through vids & movies!!
YT recommended this to me Yesterday which then sent me down the rabbit hole that is your channel. Thank you for hours on hours of amazingness. I love the music geeking out all the No Chill do the things even if you feel like a dork. Thank you so much for being you and doing the YT thing. 💜
Omg so so many candy hearts!
I'm a Tibetan Buddhist and I absolutely loved this! I'm not a monk though lol but I can tell you I don't think this is cultural appropriation, if anything this helps spread a bit more of Tibetan culture which is largely threatened by China, so thanks for that!
Its very cute, but theirs is really more detailed and fancier. Im glad you enjoyed it!
Of course you did. After the pop it wall, I wouldn't expect any less of you lol
Sweet!
I needed this colorful chaos this week. Thank you
The title: “candy hearts-“
Me: “candy hearts and paper flower~ sunshine days and sky’s of blue”
You probably have enough candy hearts to make a decent sized candy hearts/ resin coffee table, and couple electric guitar bodies. The crushed candy hearts maybe a cotton candy sculpture, candy hearts ice cream or frosting for cup cakes to raise money for a fundraiser for whatever cause of your choice.
this looks like a controlled subsstance... meaning sugar!!! nice save ali nice save
One of my favorite videos you've done!! Rooted in history, and in chaos.
"A casual 9 hours" is just another day in the life. XD!
That art work was beautiful. ❤️ it. Great job.
I literally just found you and I am obsessed.
This is the type of creative chaotic energy I need
There is something SO SATISFYING about seeing those colors separated.
"I could not afford better than budget conversations"... LOL me neither
You should turn all of the crushed candy into a cotton candy sculpture ❤❤❤❤❤ also I love you keep up the vids I love them😊
Just to give you an idea with what you can do with the leftover heart powder, you can add sulfuric acid and make your own snakes! Yakno the snakes you get from the fireworks places? You catch them on fire and they expand. Thats how it should work with sugar and sulfuric acid!
🎶“Rendezvous then I’m through with you!” 🎶🎵
Use the leftover candy to make those bottle sand arts! Or a GIANT one!
You could make a cool painting by pouring the left overs in a transparent vertical tube or closed rectangular „canvas“ thing out of like plexi glass
you could try and get ahold of some epoxy resin and use it along with the blended sugar and rest of the hearts to make a sculpture.
9:20 Same thing with "olive juice" too!!!
You could make a resin table or something with all your extra materials (candy corn, conversation hearts, chia seeds, etc)
You should have done it on top of glue, what a cool wall piece that would have been
Seeing your glucose sensor whilst you were almost bathing in a pile of candy hearts made me smile.
You are the most awesome person I have seen on RUclips and anywhere else!!!
That is so cool! I barely have the patience to scramble eggs, yet you can spend days on this. Impressive!
Weeks
cotton candy/ candy floss, icing (just bake an outrageous cake), sugar blowing (it's like glass but less hot)
This was phenomenal and painful all at the same time!
I like the sugar clay, sand art jars, and resin art ideas. I would 100% watch all of them and any other ideas you have!
I love this!!
You always bring a smile, Ali.☺️
I watched monks do sand art in October 2015, at the parliament of world religions, and it was absolutely mesmerizing. Loved it so much.
You're insane in the most lovely ways!!!!👏👏👏
I don't think I've ever been more proud of being a Patreon supporter than I am right now. It's like nailing Wordle on the first attempt.
You captured MY heart with the Eve 6 reference!
Wow! The amount of WORK and DEDICATION to your art and your Pal-ys is second to none. I am honored to be a pal-y. This is amazing...again! Happy Palyntines!
You are amazing the things you come up with make me laugh and smile thank you for the video
If you try something like this next time, use a small strainer to get a even coating of the powder
Use leftover powder to make cake frostings.
5:32 Did you say, "messterpiece"? The puns never stop!
Informer brought me to your videos.... And ali's creativity is waaaayyyy to underrated, salute to lady 🤝
god i love art. this showed up in my recommended and i remembered you from livestreams with stevie boebi from years back
I am SO impressed you did this! We had Tibetan monks visit our school when I was in high school and they worked all day for a week to make this beautiful mandala, then let the wind blow it into the sea. SO much work!
Good call on the mask! 😂
Hmm… you could use them in an epic baking project! They’re basically just sugar!
humm a candied Ali... YUM!
think you could give the hearts that have positive messages out to strangers around town - share a bit of positive vibes
Dear Ali,
I love you.
No really. You are intelligent, charming and incredibly inspiring.
I wish you the most amazing of non-glucose-filled Valentines day and I thank you for all the incredible work you put into your videos (across the board).
Can't wait till the next one, keep up the good work, and thank you again for all the inspiration and positivity!
the glaze 😭🙏
Thank you
I just discovered this video by mistake and I'm so confused but so intrigued by you and this video
You should use the left over powder and shoot it out of a Canon or something similar to make a huge sugar cloud!!!!
You should totally make a faux beach in your house with all the candy sand
You should make another mandala using the candy as is. It would look like a mosaic. 😁
We heart art. Especially our pal-y's art.
Awesome sugar sand art aside, I'm impressed you managed to cut a sheet of ply in half with a fricking dremel!
First, amazing dedication to your craft! It turned out amazing! Second I think you should take the leftover crushed hearts and do those old school sand art bottles! for putting in that much effort people should be able to put in the effort to watch the full video!!! :D
"Woah what a weird experience" while she's covered in white powder including her nose 🤣
That tube thing you can find in East LA, but they use a different kind of powder in it.
You are so ridiculously talented at literally whatever you put your hand to. You're my hero! I'd love to see you cover the wood with glue and next time you make a sand art it sticks to the wood and you can hang it as art.
Should look into a rock tumbler if you plan on reducing stuff to a powder in the future.
Holy crap this was fantastic from beginning to end
