I must admit to being a bit overwhelmed by this collection. It may be my favorite of the season, it is certainly the purist in vision and POV, having captured the souls of other times yet leaping forward without slavish copying. Not a bit of it. It is also the most purely French collection I’ve seen in ages. So chic, so full of a sense of youth and luxury without being remotely self conscious. This woman is confident and so sexy. There is Brigitte Bardot, Anouk Aimee, Jean Shrimpton, Twiggy here but not literally. Very impressed.
Love the retro vibe but most designers are doing this for 2024/25. I see the reworked designs, just a touch of our modern era to make them relevant and not just copies of copies. Bravo 👏

1st - Ahh, was this an obvious audition for Chanel? 2nd - This is a very good collection. It ranks up in the top 3 of all his Womens Celine collections. 3rd - The direction of the house has moved back to the prior Celine client but younger, hipper and cool..we've seen that coming over the last 2 collections.. 4th - He has joined the ranks of Galliano, Ford and Lagerfeld as designer who can revolutionize a brand yet maintain the lineage/codes of a house. btw, Galliano needs to be the next creative director of Chanel,
Fantastic and true fashion and yet so simple and easy to wear of course if you have a skinny body and fat wallet. He used the $ of LVMH to make a portfolio for Chanel and it was stunning. I can't wait what he can do for that house.

The bang, the headband, the bob, the fashion; it’s the sixties all over again. Loved it. A little too short but that is easily fixable.
