I will always ship them as Careese... this episode, I cried throughout the whole thing, bc Carter was in flashbacks and omg! the feels of Reese honoring her memory by taking an old case of hers. Tonight's epi brought me to this video. #RIPCarter

Jesusismyallable, "i think we were cheated", so do I especially when they were becoming so very close. I'll check for the 'flashbacks' with her, but after that I'm not sure.

This is one of my favorite careese videos. They made a great couple, I"m going to miss seeing them together. Perfect song.
The showrunners said that the kiss was unscripted. The actors just went there themselves. They thought it fit.

All the best scenes have happened the unscripted way. Even all the best movies in my have been produced this way. The actors have come up with their sayings on their own. And those quotes are the best known quotes among the people.

I wasn't surprised by Reese's reaction after Carter's death...the show wasn't the same without Carter...Ruth and Show had skills but Carter and Reese had something deeper together...Reese wasn't the same after her death..his light was off

It wasn't the writers' or the producers' fault, they wanted her in for the long haul!!! Sadly, it was Taraji herself who BEGGED the producers to let her go. She was absolutely miserable playing Carter... So they felt sorry for her, and chose to write her out this way... (to the lament of both the cast and fans everywhere) And she just ran off to ther other side of the country with no plans at all, just doing some stage plays and stuff. That's how unhappy she was. :( I'm really glad she was good enough to return for Reese's traumatic hallucinatory reunion episode with her... I think Caviezel deserved an Emmy just for that one performance, to be honest. So deeply moving, and utterly heart-breaking! * cry *
@@alexaran5352 Wait - you mean Root and Shaw, right? I agree that Reese was truly never the same after losing Carter. I could always tell that he had some feelings for her, the way he kept popping up whenever she was in the middle of something clearly dangerous, offering his assistance... She kept turning him away - I wish she'd accepted his help!!! That was hilarious when she basically ripped off half of Reese's arsenal (via Shaw). "Wait - is that _my_ grenade launcher??" If it had been anyone else who did that, he would've killed them!! I never realised just how deep his feelings ran until the kiss, and then his insane reaction when she died... * cry * ! ! !

Unscripted or not the kiss was a perfect fit. I just tugged at the heart strings even more. This video is perfect, just if she wouldn't have died.

The writers and producers wanted to keep her, it was sadly Taraji who was unhappy in the show and wanted out. So that's how they wrote her out... * sad face *

Taraji had a 3 yr contract and that's how they ended it. She was always going to leave after 3 yrs which is why they brought Shah's character in mid 2nd season. The other cast mates were not aware.

This is what pissed me off about this series. Reese professes his love for Carter and then she gets killed. There was no indication of any feelings between them throughout the whole show until the last couple episodes before her death. What was the point of it??
Even this little montage couldn't make them look like they (Reese) were in love. It was a BS move on the writers' part. But I did like the show a lot better when Carter was on it.
I shipped them from the first time I saw them together and predicted they would end up together. And then they kissed! And then she died! And there went my ship. Sigh

No explicit indication of feelings, no, but implied definitely. Plus they had great chemistry. ;P
Reese himself was very isolated from his feelings. It was obvious when he cared for someone (i.e. as friends or family), and he had his ways of showing it. It was obvious that he cared for her throughout their running on the show, but he didn’t start romantically liking her until close to her death. It started to develop gradually over time. Personally, I knew something would happen between them, and I anticipated it from day one. When it happened, I was ecstatic, but then they killed her off, and I was devastated.
It was obvious that she cared for him too. Both of them are secluded from emotions more than the average person. They both lost people they cared for, and they used that to cover their emotions to keep themselves from getting hurt again.
My point is, he showed he cared for her and vice versa. But it wasn’t in your obvious, stereotypical ways in the other shows. It was there; it wasn’t obvious.
