Today due to negligence and bad handling the extension is stopped in Dehiwala. They should immediately extend it up to mount lavinia hotel. This place will look like monte carlo, pattaya, Kuta beach bali ....or million times better.They should demolish illegal two / three storey buildings on the beach. Beach belongs to the Public. This extension up to just mount lavinia hotel will make a massive income stream from tourism. Remember theres no beach for kollupiti, bambalapiti, small tiny beach in wellawatte ... This should be the governments no.1 priority. They should do high rises like Gold coast in Australia by the land side between marine drive and galle road. This must be done immediately for more jobs and tourism. Even shangri la/ galle face hotel they dont have a good natural beach like world famous classy mount lavinia . Open your eyes
