Coach, what software do you use to model that?

@@markeichenlaub-i5e it is an app called notability. It is actually a note taking app, but I uploaded a basketball court into it.

How do you instruct players to deal with off ball cutters into the lane or pack line area? Jam them and front them anytime they’re in the pack line? Trail until edge of pack line?

Yes to that. We always front in the paint, knowing there is help behind. And if your player cuts through the lane, I have my guys stay with them until they exit the lane. Then, my guys stay in the pack line even if their player exits back to the perimeter.

How do you defend on-ball screens?

Hey Ray, great question. We do not switch on any ball screens. Switching only creates mismatches, and we want to avoid that. We also will not ask the player who is guarding the screener to provide help either. We know there will always be extra help inside the pack line. The help will come from somewhere in the pack line, and if the ball gets passed back out, we close out hard on the new ball carrier. I hope that helps!

@South Georgia Storm yes we don't switch at all. And I tell my players to go under every ball screen. That being said, I have my player who is guarding the screener just pause momentarily to contest amy outside shot before leaving to guard his man again. That half second is usually enough time for the original defender to recover and at least get around the screen.

@@CoachMarcHensley would you happen to have a model of that?
