It is because teachers make you learn slower step by step so you can understand better (doesn't even work). They give you a work sheet on a step and slowly explains to you about the subject, then you have to jot down the things the teacher says. The teachers sometimes make it hard for you to understand and jotting down the steps might not help, sometimes the steps don't even make sense to you. The school system is messed up.
The video that we watched is clear, with good illustrations and explinations. There is no way to get confused since the video uses different techniques to teach the viewers.

my profs go through literally four sections in two hours going as fast as they can and then give you a test every week until you're done.... sometimes they dont' even do examples, they only have you write the mathematical definition (that's a paragraph long) so you can "understand" it. It's insane.

it's actually way simpler than square/cube roots, because you have the base number already given to you. you can just keep multiplying the base number times itself until you get the second number (the answer that was given) and then once you get to that number, just count up how many times you multiplied the base number times itself and that's your answer

For me to understand easily, I have to think that we human invented this, and in many situations, for example, we need to find out to what power of 4 will reach 64, so that’s how this “logarithm” was invented.

I know you are a very busy man these days but a lot of these videos could use an HD update, even if the same audio and examples were used. Just a thought, love the videos. You're my hero. Thank you

One reason this "works better" than class is because you can rewind, rewatch and pause these videos. Lecture is a river that's easy to get swept away by. Plus teachers always use the hardest examples they can think of because they assume the students understand the basics by reading the text. If you don't read the text chapters class will be very hard, it's kind of a bummer I know.

Thanks to Mr. Khan, I've learned to take the path of least resistance. He has taught me this. The problem is that if one is not alert, the mind automatically decides to take the path of MOST resistance. By the time one realizes it, much time has been wasted.
