You gots to be careful cleaning nubuck if you use a high quality nubuck water proofer to protect the nubuck from stains and water most you would have to do is use a special suede nubuck brush to clean them and as for the soles of the shoe's I only use sole protectors that are pretty easy to apply and sneaker shields to prevent toe box creases
