I don't think it was intended as a troll song when it was first written. I give you that it took someone using "classical" instrument to play it to show people like myself that the melody is actually pretty interesting, but probably wasn't given enough credit because of its original style or something. Following musicians who occasionally play such melodies on guitar, piano and whatnot taught me to appreciate certain composers a bit more.
It wasn't a troll song in origin. It was written by russian enthusiastic self-taught guy. And it was incredibly popular in Russia in 2000s. By the way the author's real name is Anton Igumnov (Антон Игумнов)
