A good interview with an interesting overview of a move to a Southern state and its lifestyle. A bit colder for a few months yes but for 6 months of DLS it’s great that in the summer months you have daylight hours till 8pm + to enjoy outdoors.
Thanks for that video. It's good to know those bits like the years' experience in detail! I got different options on the deck like the 189, and thanks to that video, maybe I understand that 489 will be better decision, and if I can get sponsored by a company, it will make a huge difference! Touch wood and hope this 2024 will be the year I move down under! Thanks again for your content!
Great interview! Thank you sp much Guys for sharing your syory!! No grace from immi :( School holidays are not counting towards the time of teacher's experience? Discrase! Unbelivable!😢 There must be a way to purchase the property without PR! Please share if you know the trick!
Great video. It’s interesting hearing about the process people have to go through to get here. Mind you, being an Australian is the best, so why would anyone not want to move here 🤭🤭🤭. Good luck with whatever you choose to do guys. You’ve moved to a big country, there’s plenty more to see ❤❤❤❤
Mr. Johnston, i have a question,. The question is, If I fly into an Australian airport on my western country passport and tell the immigration officer that I have a million dollars in my bank account by producing the right documents, would I be allowed to live and work in Australia.? Also, I am an IT guy.
I often wonder this too, as I'm looking to live in Germany or down under but in from America and in the military, so anything is pretty much better than my healthcare 😅
I’m from Germany and seasonal depression is real! A lot of dark, wet/ cold days! I’m thinking of relocating to AUS 🌞 side note, thank you for your service
@courtneylenkeit1455 I was born in Heidelberg (military parents) and stationed in Bavaria for a bit too, and supposed to be going back but to Wiesbaden now, so I really like Germany, plus the weather is much like the weather in Seattle where my wife is from (I grew up mostly in Florida so I get the desire for sun) but I actually like the weather there 😅 in Germany and Washington. I know I'm weird, my wife says so all the time...cause she wants sunny days.
Is a mixture of universal health care (like NHS) and private. So free health care can be used by everyone for free but waiting lists are long for surgery. For people who can afford it, there is private healthcare that allows private surgery and no waiting lists. To 'encourage' private, there is a 1.5% levy on taxpayers over a certain income range who doesn't have private. A fairish system. Those who can afford pay extra ( and get better healthcare), those who can't still get quality health care, but may have to wait longer for surgery and to see their GP etc. Works OK.
Holy moly! I thought IELTS is just reserved for people coming from countries that do not use English as their official language. I guess I am very fortunate that I "passed" the target that I set for myself.
Tough visa rules? - Australian spousal visa is a one off cost of around $9000. But now in the UK (from the Guardian) the British government is increasing the minimum household income required to obtain a skilled worker visa for the UK, and to bring a spouse or dependent into the country on a family visa, to £38,700, up from £18,600 currently. James Cleverly, the home secretary, has announced a package of measures designed to cut the number of legal migrant workers and their dependants entering the UK. Social care workers will no longer be allowed to bring their dependants when they come to work in the UK, from January 2024 international students travelling to the UK will no longer be able to bring dependants on their student visa unless they are studying a research postgraduate programme, and the rule allowing the most-needed professions to be hired at 20% below the going rate will also be scrapped under the new measures. We’re keen to hear from people who may be affected by this policy change, whether this may split families up or force people to abandon career, financial or family plans. What amazes me there are 150,000 vacancies for care workers in UK. Like full fee paying international uni students more will now come here
Man even we are waiting for them to grant our visa, ours is in the final stage but even after 10 ish year's they have granted us 😭😭😭😭. This video is a proof that there are people waiting like us. Someone has to motivate the immi department
It’s funny they think Queensland is hotter than Melbourne. Melbourne is both colder than Queensland and Hotter. I’ve lived on the Sunshine Coast for 20 years, and low 30’s is about as hot as it gets, while the southern half of the country soars well into the 40’s. Yes it gets more humid, but I would take this any day 😃
I really appreciate their dedication to come here. They haven't wasted a penny, they invested in their future!
Cheers David

Good luck with your move over to Australia, hope everything works out well for you both.

Hi
How does the medical system there work? I live in Canada and it is free just wondering what the difference would be?

Interesting.. how much a month would private health care cost for the average family of 4 or for 1 adult? Just curious
From stoke to melbourne - youve won life.
Agreed

Inya would be a nightmare to live with. Does Neil get the chance to ask her is it in ya?
You sound like a great role model
@@ThatJohnstonLife Thank you, you are not the first to has said that.
You have to pay for skin checks 😳?
You book an appointment with your GP and they go over your whole body. We have the highest rate of skin cancer in the world.
Can do, depends on the doctor

@lutontown5923 off topic, but as a Utd fan I was really hoping Luton Town was going to beat Arsenal....
Was painful to watch. Can guess whose decision migration was….and everything else😂
Not at the beginning, but Neil comes out of his shell. I guess I can be a terrible host at times
Difficult to work 10 weeks straight😂
