Oh, what fun to relive some of the special moments in Tim Duncan's storied career. I still watch (over and over again) the 2014 final championship game - I've memorized every play! We followed Timmy from college through his 19 years with the Spurs - what a truly remarkable young man! (old by basketball standards but young to me - I'm 76)
He's the sole reason I got interested in basketball. Him and the Spurs throughout the 2000s but since then I have transitioned into college it's just a better all-around game but I still have my Tim Duncan Jersey and will always cherish the memories!!
Love how he just dishes the ball out after the block accepts the compliments from tony and manu and moves on definition of class professionalism and a Legend
Thanks for muting the end. I remember the home commentators did nothing but whine about Harden not getting a foul on that lay up. Miss watching Timmy Duncan play
Dude was playing on one leg and still schooling them boys,Tim Duncan is the 2nd best player ever behind MJ. Can't change my mind,he had the Spurs in the mix every single year. All did was win,and play the game the right way 🤷🏾♂️
Been watching replays of Duncan and Nowitzki lately. The big men of today's NBA are much, much different, but there's something about the way Dirk and Tim move about and set up their shots that to this day no one can replicate.
no one should be surprised he can still play well. he's always relied on a technically sound game, always picked his spots well, and always made the right play.
+Elston' s Gun Guys who play like that usually play longer than those who rely more on athleticism. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is another example of a technically sound big man that played for a abnormally long time. And remember, Timmy was very athletic in his younger days, but never truly relied on it as most players would. He used his fundamentals most of the time to beat his opponents.
Manu & Tony came to his side at the end bc, if I remember correctly, Rockets were bullying Spurs for the majority of the game. Especially with Howard throwing his elbows at Duncan. So them 2 were probably hyped to get out with the clutch win & to just get out in general.
Great players make great plays at crucial times. Tim Duncan's block on James Harden was just the epitome of how great he still is in his illustrious NBA career. Tim Duncan - The Quintessential Power Forward/Center
The Big Fundamental was a class act as a person and a beast in the court. He would drop a double double during the playoffs like it was nothing with the demeanor of an accountant. 😂
Very simple, no unnecessary movements, always steady. Against Dwight Howard at that. He still has the same weight and build that he had in his rookie year.
Good job removing Clyde Drexler's "whining analysis" in that Harden play spoiled by Timmy. It is a shame due to seeding complications at the time, San Antonio ended up as sixth and went to distance against LAC in the first round, capped by Chris Paul's heartbreaking shot over the outstretched arms of TD.
i wish the nba season was shorter. you usually see flashes like this from nba greats in their later years, but its difficult for them to mantain it over 82 games.
This is coming from a guy who hates James Harden and his flopping ass with a passion but Timmy got him with the body on that last play. Fortunately for San Antonio James Harden wasn't in his flopping prime yet
This was the game Clyde Drexler was fined by the NBA for being biased as a commentator. That explains the audio was cut on the end. Drexler was contesting like a lil btch. You can clearly see even James Harden wasn't contesting the no foul call. That was a clear block. Tim Duncan 💪💪💪
Man having 4 future Hall of famers on the same team , can you imagine if they would have gotten Leonard when those 3 were in there prime ( WOW) at least 3 more rings!!!
so Duncan has blocked Harden's last shot, Leonard has blocked Harden's last shot and Ginobili has blocked Harden's last shot in crucial moments. I see a pattern here, Harden has a tough time getting his last shot against the Spurs, maybe he is in... denial?
The dude was 40 years old. He had 30 and blocked harden in his prime at the rim to win the game. Timeless. Greatness.
I love your estimations
man, James Harden always getting denied by a Spurs players, 1st Tim Duncan, then Kawhi Leonard and last playoffs Manu Ginobili hahaha
Alexis Cando bahaha love this
Alexis Cando Now you can add Jakob Poeltl to the list after we just saw the Lonnie Walker IV Game
@@MarkOliveras0215 true :)))
And in the last play the 3 of then where bottering Him till last Timy Effort gets the ball...
and this year, Alex Caruso 😂
That takes finesse to block the most protected player in the game and not get a call.

same here!!..every now and then i go back and watch old duncan footage for fun!!!
Richard Martin me too!
He's the sole reason I got interested in basketball. Him and the Spurs throughout the 2000s but since then I have transitioned into college it's just a better all-around game but I still have my Tim Duncan Jersey and will always cherish the memories!!
At 80 you should be a classic basketball viewer even more than TD already ahaaha! Take care! From a 20 years old one too!
I watch Tim Duncan dominate the end of game 6 in the 2014 WCFs all the time.
Love how he just dishes the ball out after the block accepts the compliments from tony and manu and moves on definition of class professionalism and a Legend
The ageless one
+David P
The crazy thing is if u look at clips when Timmy went at it against Shaq or Marlone like 10 years ago... he was probably using the same move
Thank you for taking out the bitching at the end.
Duncan with gray hairs in his beard, Ginobili missing his entire scalp, and still out there killing it
I swear, it's their ball movement, IQ, and chemistry that made the Spurs so good.
And they was long and strong
@@fatalsniper3413 pause
@@marvelous1358 yawn. obviously he means basketball terms.
Beats athleticism 9 out of 10 times every time
Thanks for muting the end. I remember the home commentators did nothing but whine about Harden not getting a foul on that lay up. Miss watching Timmy Duncan play
It was all ball and just watch hardens reaction he didn’t even complain like he always does bc he knew it was a clean block
Clyde drexler will always be one of the worst commentators in basketball.
@@jamor2549 Yeah even Harden didn't complain about it, so you know it was clean.
Duncan going OLD TESTAMENT
darn it. lmao
Hahahaha
XDXDXDXD
😂😂😂😂😂
Duncan seemed to always make the right decision in every play. Man, I miss him in San Antonio.
Dude was playing on one leg and still schooling them boys,Tim Duncan is the 2nd best player ever behind MJ. Can't change my mind,he had the Spurs in the mix every single year. All did was win,and play the game the right way 🤷🏾♂️
The greatest power forward of all time
Anyone see Kawhi get elbowed in the face twice on the last play?
stalechips TWICE
I count it 6 times.. because of the 2 replays
Been watching replays of Duncan and Nowitzki lately. The big men of today's NBA are much, much different, but there's something about the way Dirk and Tim move about and set up their shots that to this day no one can replicate.
TD has always had his way with Dwight Howard, too fundamental...
no one should be surprised he can still play well. he's always relied on a technically sound game, always picked his spots well, and always made the right play.

He was called the Big Fundamental for a reason.
Manu & Tony came to his side at the end bc, if I remember correctly, Rockets were bullying Spurs for the majority of the game. Especially with Howard throwing his elbows at Duncan. So them 2 were probably hyped to get out with the clutch win & to just get out in general.
juneradar I watched this game live so I know exactly what you're talking about. TD was the pillar of San Antonio
I like how so many Spurs fans were there it didnt even seem like Rockets were home
It's because Houston is in Texas too
+Toby Moises well same thing happens in Philly Boston Utah DC and Phonix
San Antonio aint far from Houston lol, and sometimes people live in SA moves to Houston
old duncan > prime aldridge
Old Duncan > Prime just about everybody
everyday bro
Except stat. But maybe you're too young to know
Because there is no time limitation in Tim's age
Im taking timmy over anybody anytime..LA is soft!..
LOVE hearing those Spurs fans in Houston!!!
Couldnt have scripted a better end to this game. Old Man Timmy putting up 29, but ends it with the stellar defense hes famed for.
I can watch "Old Timmy" any day of the week and twice on Sundays
Lol Timmy dunk and Dwight blame his team mate no wonder your team is falling apart now
Great players make great plays at crucial times. Tim Duncan's block on James Harden was just the epitome of how great he still is in his illustrious NBA career.
Tim Duncan - The Quintessential Power Forward/Center
Just another day in the office for the Old Man River Walk, Tim "TD" Duncan, the GPFOAT!
These shots seem relatively easy compared to the shots Lamarcus has had to take. wish we had ball movement like this.
Leonard got elbowed twice on the jaw that last play.
In 2015, Timmy was 39 years old, but he can still school Dwight~ What a man!
The fans in Houston seems loving him so much as well~
The great tim Duncan.
Tim Duncan: the last of the CONVENTIONAL big men.
“Joey Dorsey will try to stay with Tim Duncan” ended like one would expect 😂
The Big Fundamental was a class act as a person and a beast in the court. He would drop a double double during the playoffs like it was nothing with the demeanor of an accountant. 😂
4:20 duncan pushed terry when he was setting a screen.
Love Duncan. He was like Larry, old school style of play. And very effective in the mid range and low post. A solid defender too
You're dealing with the best power forward of all time
Tim Duncan is a way better than Lebron James... from a Lakers fan !!
Miss this guy 2019?
imiss the real nba
timeless ...
Very simple, no unnecessary movements, always steady. Against Dwight Howard at that. He still has the same weight and build that he had in his rookie year.
Old man river walk ball out in this one once he retired I stop watching the nba regularly
Haha Dwight out there getting cooked by old man river walk!😅
Good job removing Clyde Drexler's "whining analysis" in that Harden play spoiled by Timmy.

this backhand shot off the glass or whatever you wanna call it blows my mind. it's like a reverse skyhook
omg it sounds like it is spurs home court
I seldom watch the games since he retired.
Miss my man Tim Duncan🥰💔

My mount Rushmore = Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, TIM DUNCAN.
THANK u for muting it
+rox ette that is usually the best part tho!
Duncan made it all so slowly D:!!!!
I would do anything to go back to 1997

playing against the spurs is like playing against CPU on the hardest difficulty
harden be blocked again.....with no foul lol
I'd take prime Timmy over any of these modern bigs that can stretch the floor.
5:27 obviously its a foul not a block, TD didnt even touches the ball, but his hand
5:20 bro, wake up!
Definitely hit ball first then wrist
His post moves are so stiff but hey they are effective. Very similar to Lamarcus Aldridge although obviously Tim is a better defender.
Man having 4 future Hall of famers on the same team , can you imagine if they would have gotten Leonard when those 3 were in there prime ( WOW) at least 3 more rings!!!
I use to just hate the spurs cause of tim. They always beat the phoenix suns in the playoffs. Always pisses me off. But gotta admire how they play
It takes balls to say a thing like that...much respect my friend....
Stay healthy
THANKS A BUNCH FOR MUTING DREXLER'S SHIT!
Even James Harden didn't bothered to contest it to refs, the Big Fundamental just made one hell of a great block.
what a great team this was
Большой и фундаментальный 👍🇺🇦
Duncan, Khawi, Ginobili, Parker. 4 HOF on the team. Not fair.
DHoward is really good but Duncan made him regret to have chosen basketball as his career.
Just can't imagine if Spurs got no. 2 draft instead of no. 1 at the time... Can't imagine
At another video local commentator said that Tim Duncan fouled James Harden on the arm but he hit the ball first Dan the arm how is that a foul?
Was it Dwight Howard there?
How can people say he is a future hall of famer?
If we had this Tim Duncan in 2016 we would've won the chip
The banks is always open for Duncan.
i miss this guy., i think he can still play and can contribute to spurs.. like manu
the team was better off without aldridge
the ball was hit out of Harden's hand then Duncan's hand met Harden's wrist (follow through motion). Not a PF.
so Duncan has blocked Harden's last shot, Leonard has blocked Harden's last shot and Ginobili has blocked Harden's last shot in crucial moments. I see a pattern here, Harden has a tough time getting his last shot against the Spurs, maybe he is in... denial?
Vardaris Now Poeltl this year in the Lonnie Walker breakout game
Tim ,Manu, Tony ,Kawhi ,, what a time for Spurs ((
Duncan says get that weak shit outta here.
He was going medieval on Dwight.
The fundamentals and experience oozes outta this man.
Thank god you muted the end when they were saying it was a foul
TD needs to come back and ask Kawhii to stay. The Spurs made a huge blunder signing Pau Gasol.
his best playing weight
Harden still furious at the officials for not calling foul,
He was like 58 years old this game too
Tim D doesn't get enough credit
Wow! He tippy toed and still blocked him lol
Really miss d game of my idol d Big Fundamental...
Uma grande escola. Eterno Tim Duncan.
Harden got fouled last play
The Big Fundamental...
Like fine wine.
Dwight howard was baby food for Tim Duncan
Every player ever is baby food for Tim.
The best PF I Saw playing the game...
I love Timmu forever😘😘😘
Defense wins games ✊✊
how on earth no faul was called
Last play was a foul
