Fantastic video of area there was two rows of houses in mount pleasant fatfield that were demolished early seventies what happened to the people who lived there.
I used to work in Stylo shoe shop on crow tree road Sunderland in the middle 60’s who remembers Stylo ,bar rats ,timpsons ,Saxone,John Collier ,Hepworth ,Jackson’s the tailors .the list goes on ,anybody out there remember Milburns bakery in grangetown ,the ultimate Victoria cream sponge cake👍
Thank you for a fantastic video. So interesting. I've done a then and now photograph of Brady square. I think that old photo was taken by Ian Carr? I worked with him in the 1980's.
Reply to Bernadette Barrett’s shoe shop was on High streeton the corner so long ago as I moved away in 1967 ,if you walked down the side of Barrett’s you came to Joplings ,now that was department store ,
