Lol I had a similar thought when Link said that. Both Rhett & Link have very good long term memories.
Hearing y’all discuss childbirth from a man’s perspective is hilarious. Especially because when I had my daughter, my husband was literally just standing to my left saying “oh, wow.”

Totally agree with what Link said about the spontaneity of the show. Some of my favorite moments are also when they make each other laugh or when someone (mostly Link) says some word the wrong way. Keep up the good work guys

Have you guys ever tried that labor pain simulator thing? If not, you both need to do it (& film it of course)-but try to do it WITHOUT screaming. LOL THEN maybe it would give you a new perspective on your wife’s screaming.

For me its just shoe, shoe I hate socks.
I have no idea why but this talk about remembering different homes someone spent time in as a child has mad me incredibly sad. Like, beyond nostalgia. Just purely and profoundly sad.
Sometimes when I'm having a bad, hard to move day, I do sock-shoe-sock-shoe because its easier to do each foot in one go lol

When I was born a nurse asked my dad if he wanted to help and he freaked out and was like Help help help how could I help. The nurse was like just hold the baby and handed me to him
I love all of these ear biscuit episodes. Take all of the vacation time that you need. You always have multiple projects rolling and you need that time to take care of yourselves and your families so that you can keep doing these awesome things for your fans.

When I was new to watching Gmm, I got super offended once when they called Sir Jagdish Chandra Bose a crazy scientist in do plants have feelings episode....he is actually a very respected scientist in my country. His invention Mercury coherer was later used in making the first radio by Marconi and we study about him in our classes as kids. But I am glad I didn't comment angrily cause I realized soon that they wouldn't insult anyone knowingly. I've been subscribed now for 3 months and happily so.

I had a VBAC and argued with my doctor about it for about an hour, because the contractions were coming fast. Both of my children were preemies, so because incision was small, and my second child was small, it worked . No epidural and minimal pain.
Listening to you talk about birth is painful... Having a doula could have helped both of your family's so much.

Vbac is okay if the first csection wasn’t cut vertically for a huge emergency (like they get the baby out in 5 minutes). If it was a horizontal cut, vbacs are dandy.
they are wonderful, i had a horrible time and almost died from my C-section plus i could not care for my child by myself for weeks, my vbac was so much better to the point i was sitting on the ground putting a bassinet together by myself the next day.
You guys need to write a book for dads for various childbirth situations using Arby’s terminology.
I relate to Rhett's story of how the doctor who was supposed to deliver Shephard was at home in the shower so much because the doctor who was supposed to deliver was playing golf with his friends when I was born 😂. And when I tell that story people are always very confused because apparently im like the only person in my area that has happened to?
The look Rhett has hearing Link had went sock/shoe sock/shoe is of pure disgust and extreme disappointment, probably from the fact he now knows one of “those types”
C-sections are done too often (when they're scheduled in advance), and cause adhesions (scars) that the subsequent pregnancy's placenta grows around, making it much more likely blood vessels will rupture and the mom will bleed out. It can happen in less than 5 minutes, and the tangled tissue makes it harder to find which vessel is bleeding.

39:50 I go sock-shoe, sock-shoe. I got into the habit after one too many times stepping in water puddles with my sock feet (left by others wet shoes in the shoe area or from my dog dribbling water from his bowl) when going to put my shoes on. Easier to walk barefoot through the danger zone and just put everything on all at once to make sure my socks don’t get those pesky wet spots.
The first vcr we had came with a wired remote that has a single button, pause.
Anybody noticed the misspelling for the thumbnail?
I go sock - shoe, sock - shoe because I'm disabled. It's hard to get to my feet so it's easier to do both for one foot while I can reach it and then work on doing the other foot. It gets so difficult sometimes my husband literally has to help me get my socks and shoes because I CAN'T reach them at all.

Sock/sock happens when I get dressed. Shoe/shoe happens at the door before I walk out although I admit, I’ve been pretty excited about a new pair of boots.

That’s impossible.
I’ve given birth, only once, no medicine. I didn’t scream, and my ex was wonderful enough to tell me how not graceful I was. 🙄 But when Rhett was sharing his story, he didn’t come across as proud of himself for the way he felt. He was just being honest.

With the whole chicken Kiev situation not only is it also considered a Russian dish but anyone taking such offense to it is being overly sensitive, obviously y’all weren’t trying to be offensive and there was no malicious intent whatsoever. People can just be way too sensitive and speak with their outrage emotions instead of their heads.
True. I think there are a lot of things worth being angry about right now, and there are a lot of people who say offensive things that are worth getting upset about, but being confused about where a dish is from just isn't one tbh.

I do sock-shoe-sock-shoe because I have very long, thick hair that sheds like crazy, and my floor is pretty much covered in my dead hair, so if I were to do sock-sock-shoe-shoe, my socks would get covered in hair lol

Is anyone else a little bothered by the fact Rhett was embarrassed by his wife screaming during labor?? I love them and I’ve been watching for years but i feel like I’m the only one a little irked by the fact he said he was more embarrassed then sympathetic?
I think Rhett'd probably agree with you. I get the impression that gets irrationally neurotic and embarrassed in most social situations. It's not that it's a good or defensible thing, it just is. I get being bothered by it (it might mother me more if I had a womb, let alone had ever put it to use), but, again, if anyone ever said that to him I think he'd feel the same way. He also, by my estimation, is pretty deliberate with moral matters.
1-he's definitely partially kidding when he says that
2-it's more of him pointing out what's wrong with him, it was self deprecating

this c-section talk confuses me. my second brother (8) was a "tumor baby" (mean, I know, but it's also hilarious) and less than 2 years ago she had a "V-BAC" with no complications related to her c-section years prior. I'm convinced all that V-BAC talk is urban legend for the most part
I know this comment is 3 years old but vbacs can absolutely be dangerous and its not urban legend just because your mom had a successful one. There is a 1 in 10 chance of a catastrophic event after 1 c section, and that risk increases exponentially with each c section
It will be two years in June since Anthony Bourdain died, and I'm still waiting for my heart to start to heal.

...i'm a sock-shoe-sock-shoe person and i think it makes sense because i don't want my socks getting dirty/catching dirt or fur from the floor so i put my socked foot inside the shoe right away.
Sock - shoe, sock - shoe is how I do, living in the studio apartment my socks drawer is in the same closet I keep my shoes so when I change from slippers to my shoes I do it one by one 🤗🤗
