Another great video. Dimond washers 🤦 whats next 😂. The good old days of keeping it simple are gone. Unfortunately to many new mechanics are doing things wrong due to not being able to follow instructions from manuals, as they can be difficult to understand. There are good technicians out there but not enough that have the experience or thirst to know how to follow new procedures. I always tell people that education is a life long learning experience. Even I am still learning. Mick and Sam thank you both for sharing your humour and great knowledge. I always enjoy watching you guys have a good laugh and teaching us a few tricks along the way. 👏 Thank you both for your efforts.

I set tension last. One thing that happens is when torquing the exhaust cam sprocket you sometimes get travel of the sprocket which creates hidden slack. I actuall hold the cam in place as well as use a pry bar in the teeth of the exhaust cam sprocket to prevent the sprocket from traveling.

At 2:58 it shows it in the correct position.

I'm thinking he put the first timing sprocket on incorrectly. I thought the long side went out away from the engine

What a stupid engine. Obviously to cut production costs down not cutting a keyway.
