Does anyone know how to find your High Performance and put it active to un overclock your stuff on Windows 8? I'm using a surface pro 3 and I cant seem to find it.
My gf's pc has been having the screen freeze issue while playing certain games and according to this video it is the power supply as well from the event viewer. Going to swap her psu with my old one and see if it fixes the issue. If it does, you are a life saver my friend, as I've tried everything! Will post an update once we try it out. Edit/Update: So after swapping my gf's power supply with my old one, she has no longer been experiencing freezing during her games! Thank you so much for this video! You are a life saver!
Does it work for dota 2? Whenever i find match the screen keeps on freezing, but the mouse and audio is still there. I've been looking for solutions for over a month now but none of them fix this issue. I tried reinstalling the game, but the problem is still there. Please help me. I just want to play Dota. 😢
So none of these fixes have worked for me. But in the end in the Event Viewer, I am getting the Critical Kernel Power message, but my power supply EVGA 220-G3-0750-X1 Super Nova 750 G3, 80 Plus Gold 750W so it's more than enough for my system, Ryzen 9 5900 & MSI Gaming Radeon RX 6800 XT, I have never had issues before with my older components and when I upgraded to these. I don't hear any noises or anything of the sort. Only sometimes when playing League and I alt+tab with discord or something open my computer will freeze and I can't do anything but I will still hear audio from the call I'm in but they can no longer hear me until I reboot the PC. It also seems lately that just randomly my OS and monitors just shut down and come back on and I have to re-login at the screen; this usually happens when I idle for a bit, haven't noticed it doing it if I'm actively playing something or watching RUclips. I'm assuming my PSU perhaps could be beginning to fault out maybe now with a more powerful processor and graphics card, but it just seems odd to me. My rig is about 2-3 years old now, just upgraded the processor and graphics card late last month (October 2022). If this video and comment section is still active, I would love some feedback on possible solutions. Thank you in advance.
Bro, I followed avery single instruction you provided here, this video was very helpful to know where to start from but in the end the fix was to replace my MB, thanks to your video I had better understanding on how to get to the issue, Thank you very much!

Hey so recently my house has been getting lot of power outages, like 3 or 5 while my pc was on, and all of sudden recently I’ve been getting these entire computer freezes, crashes etc, do you think this could be the problem and getting a new power supply could solve it ? Thanks for any help
If the house was getting power outages even when not using the pc, I would assume that the sudden surge in power may have corrupted your OS files. Try doing a system repair and if it doesn’t work, fresh install windows
I have a 80+ gold power supply.... anyone know what the problem might be? Btw my computer is 6 months old as of writing this and the parts are new and not at all out of date
I have the exact same thing is there any way of fixing the power supply without buying a new one also do u recommend a gold one just trying to get one which isn’t to expensive thanks :)
Anything 80 Plus certified I would recommend 80 Plus Gold, 80 Plus Platnium, 80 Plus Titanium would probably be the best ones to get, but also the most expensive you may be able to get a good deal on a Gold one if you can find one.
Thx sir, for sharing this. I have same problem, it's been three months since I buy my new PC. When I play AAA games, it's crashing, freezing, force closed. I've already replaced my psu with a new one, but it's not working, idk why. Is it HDD, motherboard or ram??

I don't think that it's fair to say that a kernel power critical failure is 100% the PSU's fault, since it just implies sudden power loss wich could be after the screen freezes when you do a forced reset of the PC. I will try to install my previous PSU, since i replaced it to future proof the pc as i'm looking to buy a 2080, wich is a bit more power hungry than my RX580, but it will take a while as i don't have it with me right now.
