I like the way this does the girls. We Got Iris, pissed off because just prior to this shadow either gave her visions cutting her limbs off and reattaching them, or did it so fast she wasn't sure it was real, and her way of getting over it is blind rage. we Got Beatrix, ordered to take down the terrorist and knowing instantly she's out of her league and not taking them seriously. We got Annerose walking away not wanting to see shadow flirting with these two girls. We got Alexia, the city is about to be nuked around her, and she choses to spend what might be her final moments mastering basic sword strikes.
I've just compared the fight with the manga version, there's nothing to see! The anime has enormously densified and set the scene! You get a whole episode for a few pages! The fight is limited to the arena, with 2-3 exchanges of blows!
Shadows power isn’t fully shown as we have seen in s1 he can cover the whole capital with his magic without any fatigue so we COEM to the conclusion everyone throughout past and now cannot beat shadow and we could probably see him cover the whole world or even the sun with magic power so to think he can kill everyone ever known in the show with 1 hit could be an understatment
