    Marcus, loved your video. I am wondering what dangers to look out for while snorkelling in Jandia.

    • @MrMarcus729
      @MrMarcus729  6 лет назад

      Chris Thorpe There is no real danger. Maybe slipping on a rock while going in. I keep my rules simple. Don't touch anything living while snorkeling. The animals are not agressiv if you are not agressiv either. :)

    hey man thank you for sharing this! i was there 2 years ago, but never managed to get to see an octopus, what a dream! we will probably going in late december again, do you think that's a good time for snorkelling there? and how far from the beaches would you stay? i once snorkelled up to around 100-150 meters off the beach when the tide was low, it was probably around 5-7m deep there, and the ground changed from sandy to rocky with a lot of bigger fish, probably perches. got scared of sharks and swam back to the beach lol
    so really just swimming up and down the beaches is where these guys are at? edit: with "these guys" i mean the wildlife in your amazing video:)
    sorry 2nd edit: how deep was the maximum depth and how far off the beach did you have to go at max for this kind of footage? seriously, the wildlife you've encountered is insane!!! holy shit
    kind regards from germany:)

    Thank you very much for posting it. I'm looking for a destination where to take my mother, who's 74 years old and loves snorkeling. She can't free dive and I pull her in the water, but she can float and swim a little (slowly). Do you think this location would be ok if the snorkelers can't free dive?

      Hello Diana, first of all, sounds like you are a great daughter. Costa Calma on Fuerteventura is just great. Easy to get in and you can see a lot if fish in the shallow water. Also almost no waves and clear water. if i can help you any further let me know :)

    great video, is it good for snorkeling in the winter? im ok with low temp, but the visibility is important, and preferably no big waves. i

      @MrMarcus729  3 года назад +2

      Hey, thanks alot. Yeah the temperature is still fine in the winter too. Visiability is pretty good most of the time. as long as you stay on the eastcoast waves will be no problem at all. Have a great time if you go :)

    • @MrMarcus729
      @MrMarcus729  6 лет назад +1

      Well you are just going to the right place. It's right at the Costa Calma. When you go the beach just grab your snorkel and mask and follow the cliffs on the side of the beach to the left or right. You will see a lot if fish and maybe some rays too. Hope you enjoy your stay.

    Nice video 👍 im going to Jandia in June (Jandi Mar apartments) do you reckon it will be possible to see the same sort of marinelife snorkeling there?

    • @MrMarcus729
      @MrMarcus729  6 лет назад

      Yeah, Jandia is a lovly spot for snorkeling. Just go straight in the water and stay close to the cliff/rocks.

      MrMarcus729 Brilliant, i go snorkeling whenever i go on holiday but always see the same types of small fish so going to Jandia im hoping to see more of a range like you have in your video. Especially the Angel Shark, are these popular in those waters?

    • @MrMarcus729
      @MrMarcus729  6 лет назад

      Yeah and june is quite a good month for it too. I bet you will see atleast some rays. I'm there in may again and will take a trip to Jandia and see what i can find and make a video for you too :)

    • @MrMarcus729
      @MrMarcus729  Год назад +2

      Hey Shilpa, just head to the nortest part of Costa Calma. Just right there at the rocks that lead out to the ocean. An even better spot is the "Playa de Puerto Rico" futher north from Costa Clama, just 10 minutes by Car. Best spot for Snorkeling.

      It is an so called "Angel Shark" and is pretty harmless, it mostly get's scared of humans, and should never be touched, since that destroys the skin of the shark and it won't came back if so. :)

      This is the norther part of Costa Calma if you head to the rocks. I also recomend the "Playa Puerto Rico" just a little further north for snorceling. A lot to see there :)
