Just because I feel like their friendship is extremely underrated ( I feel like people forget that Elena, Bonnie, Caroline, Matt, Tyler, and Jeremy all grew up together. I mean even the writers acted like they forgot what the characters meant to each other. Look at how each character reacted when they learned about Tyler’s death. The only one that seemed to care was Matt. But I mean what can you expect Damon’s the one who did it so of course he gets a pass. But yet when Stefan killed Enzo people hated him for it. And Tyler’s “funeral” was a total joke. People usually like Caroline, Elena, and Bonnies friendship but when it comes to Tyler, Matt, or Jeremy people either forget about them or have a problem with the other characters caring about them and doing stuff for them. I mean they’ve all known each other their entire lives because their parents grew up together). Also they are both over hated (Tyler especially).

Iiii think that’s a bit too much, I mean I never got that vibe from them. Yes they were friends, but only because they were in the same cycle since they were kids. Don’t get me wrong I would LOVE it if what you said was canon but it just isn’t.
I think Matt and Tyler did die for elena a few times throughout the show. Bonnie died and came back for her every season shes the ride or die MVP
Someone said they actually dated and it was referenced in season 1 when vicki was alive. But i haven't fought it yet.

I am gonna be completely honest. I am 13 and have had a crush on Tyler since I was 10. I have had a crush on Michael Trevino, since I was about 5. I completely cried my self to sleep when Tyler died. I wish they had let him live. He deserved so much better!
I was sad when he died. The most misunderstood character in the show alongside Bonnie. They deserved so much better. They at least deserved to have someone who loves them with them. Like they both lost everyone they loved. I guess they were both written as the unlucky characters.

Tyler and Elena deserved more time together. They knew each other since birth and you could clearly see they Elena meant to much to Tyler. The fact he’d die for her shows she was like a sister to him 🥹❤️
I think they have the same bond any person would have growing up around and with in that small of a town. Not to mention he is Matt's best friend which was her ex. A bond like that definitely something else. She may not have been besties with him like Caroline and Bonnie but she definitely was his friend and likewise for him also.
I wish they showed the friendships more, with Jeremy to. Caroline, Bonnie, Elena, Matt, Tyler, and Jeremy all grew up together. They’re parents were friends, so by default they all cared about each other. It’s so obvious that Tyler loved and cared for them all but he had a hard time showing it.

Literally rewatching right now and it's just so obvious how biased the show is towards him (and against Stefan) like omfg I'm so fed up 😑season 3 is where it starts showing the most and season 4 is where it completely takes off ugh Damon favouritism, Elena becoming a vampire and Delena getting together spoiled the whole show!

Yes! I mean Stefan brought it up 1 or 2 times but the writers made it seem like he just forgave Damon for killing her 🤦♀️

I never liked tyler in season 1 (only for a few episodes) but near the end/middle of season 1 and onwards I started liking him because of how I'm able to understand his character. He is very misunderstood and I hate how he died... but then again in the originals he was pretty much a villain and tried to harm hayley and hayley trusted him even more than klaus :/ other than that tylena is one of the most underrated friendships, they deserve more scenes :(
Yeah same. But while I think he was wrong in the originals, Hayley did betray him and got his pack killed. He should not have kidnapped a pregnant woman as he could have hurt Hope, but Hayley did deserve it and he did think that Klaus, the monster who slaughtered his pack, tried to kill him and a bunch of his friends, and murdered his mother, wanted to use his daughter to create new hybrids. He was in the wrong but not a villain. But yeah, people give Klaus and all the others passes on being terrible but because of that one moment in the originals and him being a jerk in the beginning of season one, Tyler is considered a villain by the fandom and that is not fair at all. He made mistakes but he is the only character who hat a full on screen redemption arc and was always trying to be a good person.

That's what happens when it becomes the D- show. Not even E just D. Moving on, I truly have no words with how you were able to edit such as you said underrated friendship. I was very angry with how his funeral went it was obvious by that point that the only thing that mattered was getting to their bought for ending for legacies (even though legacies is definitely a parallel universe where it's different people just saying) This song is very melancholy and low key like the friendship between them was shown. I really loved how it started off with the pilot episode him being a jerk, but he comes so far! I love how you used all the moments where they were concerned about each other, truly concerned even WITH Nina's horrible acting in season 6 where she checked out for half her scenes. The scene choices combined with the voice overs really made this video and that ending. I felt it in my soul ugh. Thanks for this.
Ngl I am guilty of underestimating Tyler's character too. I started loving him very recently, such a well written character. One of the best to me now. In my defence, the D show like you said left no space for everything and everyone else.
I’m glad it was the D show because he’s reason Bonnie stayed to the end if you didn’t know during the prison world season they was gonna kill Bonnie off for good but Ian(Damon) said no if she goes I’ll go
@@Jessica.Shawnte great for Kat, shiv for the storyline. Ian and Kat were brilliant. I still hated it after season 4a. This video reminds of all the dynamics that were forgotten and retaconned due to writing choices.

I honestly don’t get why people hate Tyler, Elena, Matt, Jeremy and other underrated characters so much ;( Personally I love Caroline and Klaus the most, like the couple and also as their own characters, but I can’t even call one person that I hate on TVD, even Sybil or Lili Salvatore, I like even them. (All right subjectively I hate Camille, but it only because I’m a true fan of Klaroline). I’m happy that there’s someone who make such beautiful edits for all of this characters and ships💕💕💕

Tyler- *ruined his relationship with Caroline* , tried to kill Hayley’s baby, he hated Klaus more than he loved Caroline, his character development went 📈📉.
Elena- *did Stefan really dirty* , dragged out the love triangle for wayyy too long, pretty bland of a character, made everything about herself.
Matt-hated vampires, kinda just became annoying.
Jeremy- *cheated on Bonnie!*
As you can see, Caroline, Stefan, and Bonnie are my favorite 😂

@@jayaybee3047 I get all this, really, but still, Tyler was always with angry issues, his father died, his uncle Mason was killed by Damon, Klaus killed Jules, all of his hybrids - Tyler’s pack and friends, tried to steal his girl and killed his mother - at Christmas! - his only family , so yes, it was bad how he treated Care, but it understandable, I mean this revenge made him blind, but how would you feel on his position?
Elena is annoying sometimes, true, but she was 17 years old, she lost all the members of her family, and she did love Stefan, but then she also started falling for Damon, it’s love, we can’t just get rid of it, and the fact that she couldn’t admit it and chose one of them only because she didn’t want to lose the other, not after losing so many people. Maybe it was a little bit selfish, but come on, name me just one person of the show who never being selfish

Matt is human, and he loves people. His sister was killed by Damon, and he had so much crap in his life and his town because of vampires so I think every normal person in his place would’ve done the same things and would’ve act the same
Jeremy, well, yeah, he cheated on Bonnie 😹 but f*uck, he loved Anna so much, and then his own uncle murdered he, so I think it’s obvious that they made out after they got a chance, even if it was reaaally bad to Bonnie

I mean, it was the last episode and everything was like super rushed so I'm sure it was something that was kept with the ''off screen'' things, just like with Caroline being pregnant with Joe and Alaric's kids for example, then meeting said kids, Bonnie and Enzo getting together, Stefan killing Enzo later etc. But yeah it was definitely something that deserved a proper mention/reaction like he was there since the beginning in season 1 so yeah, they should've totally honoured his character a little better!

The reason why they didn't get enough screen time is because in the orignal story the books . Tyler even assaulted her and he chained Elena up . He treated her really bad . So they didn't completely want to change it for the book fans

I think he has the same bond she has with Caroline, Matt, Bonnie, and every other person she grew up with. When you grow up with someone in a small town you have a kind of bond thats just different. Not to mention Tyler was always around Matt and before Elena dated Matt so it would have been hard to not have some sort of bond even though she wasn't exactly best buds with him.
