Also overall I think there are things people wear for social media photos and things they wear in their actual life. E.g. British influencers openly mention taking suitcases of clothes to London to take streetstyle photos, then taking the train back home. It’s often as much a shoot as a Vogue spread.
I like the bloomers but it’s more summery for me and I hate the recent styling. It works with cutesy romantic styling but not the moto jacket street style imo

Living in a place with cold winters, I got into long sweater dresses last year and just bought another one for this coming chilly season. I call them body socks, lol. When it’s miserably cold and the ice in the air is stabbing at you, it’s nice to put on a squishy, almost seamless, warm (not itchy) dress over fleece tights, put on a cool puffy jacket or statement coat and lug boots and call it an outfit. I think the visual contrast between the slightly sinewy bodycon dress and more voluminous outerwear looks kind of intentional/interesting as well. Not for California weather, though!
I used to wear a penny lane coat as a child literally all the time, it was my favorite jacket ever and it had so much cute little embroidery on it. I have so many pictures with it. I’m dying to thrift one in my size now before it gets cold.😭❤️
I got a sheer spaghetti strap tulle dress the other day and I love it. I wear it with a pair of jeans and a top underneath, or over a miniskirt, and it makes my outfit more interesting. I'd never wear it as a plain dress tho, because I'd be basically naked lol

about a year ago i realised that green was absolutely my colour, i have green eyes and reddish brown hair and it just looks so good. i don’t like super saturated green though (or just saturated clothes in general) so i like a darker ‘tree’ green or a light pastel green most of the time, you look great in green!

I've been in Japan for the past few months (working) and this is how girls wear sheer stuff there--maybe in the US you'd just wear a tank or baby t or a dress w spaghetti straps--but in Japan the girls wear a sheer blouse under the spaghetti strap dress or over the tank. The American version is not modest...in those photos you showed...just not practical for every day, let's be honest. The Japanese way of wearing sheer items makes the outfit *more* modest, not less. I have a slip dress and got a lacy top to wear over it, to cover my arms, and it looks cute.

Where I live now (SW USA) girls already dress very immodestly during the summer (this years' trend was spandex booty shorts, I'm dying), and the guys are thirsty as H3LL. I really like butter yellow as a color, but I totally agree with you on it - it just doesn't work for me in the top half of the outfit. And I'm really sad about it, because pastel or any light colored bottoms are a no for me, as I'm taking my dogs with me most of the time when I'm out x)) However, I'm getting more and more into bloomers and other micro shorts, and I'm really surprised as I'm quite insecure about my hips area, but for some reason I really like them on me!))
Ok, this might be an unpopular opinion (sorry!) But I don't like fuzzy shoes on me AND on other people because I can only think of the shoes getting dirty with feet sweat and not being easy to clean 🙃

Okay you know, I also do not like sweater bottoms EXCEPT when I did ballet, leg warmers obviously, but I also had these warmup sweater pants that were truly amazing 👌 but they were over tights, so I didn’t get the full textural experience
I think the only fuzzy jackets I like are sherpa fleece jackets (quarter zip with kangaroo pocket). I get all four seasons and can wear those 6 months of the year. You can layer and they're good transitional pieces. I am picky about how the fabric feels and veto many for that reason. But it's so nice putting phone, keys and maybe a wallet in the pocket and have no purse. Put it with a scarf/hat/mittens and puffer jacket (any weight) and you will never be cold.
The ombré pants reminds me of capri pants I had in 2005 when I was a child, so something I am not really interested in also it does really scream microtrend. Also I just got a "Penny Lane" vintage pigsking coat for less than 10 euros and I fucking love it.

Have you done a test to find out what your colors are? I did that, and I discovered most of the colors I was wearing already were on my chart. The colors that I was experimenting with and still not liking were not on my chart, so I stopped wasting my money on them bc I now know why I don't like them.

I just got a pair of doc marten sandals with the fuzzy inside. It’s honestly not that noticeable and just makes them more comfortable on the tops of my feet. But the style I got also looks like the classic Birkenstock sandals, so it mice just be the style.

As someone who have very short, stalky legs I HATE drop waist, low waist... omg... the denim Bermuda shorts... I love all these trends on other people but I just DOES NOT work on my body. I have a pair of the shorts and honestly I love them and I can make them work with heels or platforms but to wear the slouchy socks and sneakers or cowboy boots, I look like I have no legs 😭 I also love sheer on others but not on me, I'd love to do the lace dress with just bra and panties but I live in an area where I would feel really unsafe wearing that. So practicality wise, absolutely not.

Hot take; Sweaterdressesis a REALLY difficult thing to wear. On a lot of people they do look like a micro-trend piece because they dont really fit, bulge in weird places etc. Regardless of quality, it's just slways a garment I feel like most people cant really wear well (myself included). I do envy it though, when I see someone like Victirua Beckhsm wearibg thrm - but let's fsce ut, I'm not her ;) As a Scandinavien all I can do us laugh at those fuzxy heels. Who th wears stilettoes and fuzxy ones at that, in snow and ice? Which is whst we get around these parts, in winter. If not rain. Endless, days worth of non-stop rain and gloom. I live in a monoculture/fashion wasteland (think low rise sparkly jeans circa 2000s never went out of style and brand new walmart shirt), and last summer's big trend here was literally just bike shorts and a sports bra. This summer was a sporty t-shirt and booty shorts 😭 I'm ready for fall to make it stop.

It's taken a long time to be at a place of peace🕊 w/the girls. Find it cheeky to wear a graphic tee that draws 👁👁eyes to them. At least I've given folks an excuse to look & linger in that case. It feels much different when I control that focus with confidence & attitude.
Whenever I wear any bottom (pant, legging, or skirt) that skims too closely over my hips, behind, or upper thighs that puts me on instant alert😕. Won't feel at ease until I 🎀tie an oversized jumper around my waist. Otherwise, I must wear a gilet or jacket that covers these areas on the sides & rear.

🤔So, you felt the shake up on Aug 20th!? My BFF in SGV didn't notice anything〰️& he's technically closer to the Ojai epi-center. It's about 70miles away from me in the East Valley, I felt the 5.5 magnitude EQ & several of the 3+m after shocks.
Although 🌀Hilary got downgraded twice to a Tropical Storm. It 🌧 rained non-stop for a long time, but it never stormed⛈️. No high 🌬winds, only a slight breeze at times.😉Still, crazy stuff.
EDIT: We're having a scorcher today 103°F🥵. Our 😎Hot Summers have def been extending thru late October. The last half a dozen September's have been a triple digit🌡misery.

Some of these would be okay in summer but they just don't seem fall-appropriate to me. Like sheer clothes and bloomers. Even pastel yellow: might be a yes in spring but a no in fall. I do like ombre as a DIY project though.
I like the yellow pieces you showed, but I can't wear yellow at all. I don't like sweater dresses either or low waisted anything. Fuzzy sandals are just ridiculous. I am not buying any of these "trends" unless I find a fuzzy jacket I really love.

I have a pair of the shorts and honestly I love them and I can make them work with heels or platforms but to wear the slouchy socks and sneakers or cowboy boots, I look like I have no legs 😭
I also love sheer on others but not on me, I'd love to do the lace dress with just bra and panties but I live in an area where I would feel really unsafe wearing that. So practicality wise, absolutely not.

Hot take; Sweaterdressesis a REALLY difficult thing to wear. On a lot of people they do look like a micro-trend piece because they dont really fit, bulge in weird places etc. Regardless of quality, it's just slways a garment I feel like most people cant really wear well (myself included). I do envy it though, when I see someone like Victirua Beckhsm wearibg thrm - but let's fsce ut, I'm not her ;)
