It's mildly amusing how they almost always struggle to actually navigate the pause menu to quit the match

I noticed that. I hardly ever go to the no contest screen in a tournament match but I can do it really quickly. I probably got used to it from friendies matches when something stupid/funny happens.
Even though they can simply go up once, press a, go right, and press a again. Even faster than the older games.
This is why I never play online mode in any SSB game, the only times I'll play it is when I try to complete every challenge in it.
The sonic that paused then didn’t die, but continued to play really grinds my gears...

@@liam129 No he didn't lose (immediately), he broke momentum of the palutena player by pausing then continued to play like he didn't rage pause. It's a common tactic used in all kinds of sports that allow timeouts.

My teenage brother went to a local tournament using terry and the third game he played had a little salty boy and when my brother won the kid flipped out and my bro goes “its sad that you are the way that you are” and I really felt that.
I love watching people rage and get salty over video games, not sure why, but it's really satisfying.

I think Palutena being the most improved character from Sm4sh to Ultimate has caused people more salt than it theoretically should because people are expecting her to still be bottom or low tier, but she high/top tier now. So they feel like she shouldn't be as good as she is.
She's just way too spammy, either have good aerials and mediocre zoning like Mario or Falco, or good zoning and mediocre aerials like Snake. She just has too much going on no matter where you are on the stage.
@@sniff494 Snake has amazing aerials. His air speed is just too slow to combo them. Palutena is the new Mario. She's good at everything, but not great at anything. ZeRo put it best. She's one of the best fair characters because she doesn't have any gimmicks or cheese like a suicide up B like Ike and Chrom, a move that does unreasonable damage like Ridley down B or Incinaroar revenge, mindless projectile spam like Belmonts and Young Link or any means of providing good pressure like...Pikachu.

All the guy did was call out a mistake he accidentally made and then hit the desk (which people at my venues do all the time and we laugh about it) and then the one guy is like “don’t come back for the next two weeks”... really?...
