I whipped up a small little screenshot for my players, that involves formulas for things like spell save DCs, attack rolls, etc. I also have a doc full of helpful infographics and PDFs of all the essential books they have access to at all times. It really helps them when they're confused about certain things in combat

    Nice video!
I don't think I've seen a good video for beginners covering things like how to use cover, and how it affects their characters. Or things like dropping prone to give disadvantage to ranged enemies, and how to use it effectively.(Ranged Dodge that still lets you use your actions at the expense of half your movement) Drop prone at the end of your turn, stand up for half your movement and fire your bow, crossbow, or spells, back up with the remaining half of your movement then drop prone again, never drop prone if melee enemies are nearby, etc... What the Dodge action does, it's limitations, and how to use it. Or Readying their actions now that I think about it. These are all simple things every player can do, but I've never seen them clearly explained, only mentioned in passing. WHY would somebody want to ready their action? What is Disadvantage and why would you want to impose it on enemies? Why use up your action to Dodge, instead of just attacking? Maybe you could explain these things simply and clearly for beginners?

Everyone: You’ll never use calculus in daily life.
    DnD: Hold my D20.
Seriously, though, thanks for the info TV. I haven’t played but I like to nerd out on this stuff. :)

At 7:34, you said "9 fails and your character dies..." - I believe you meant 3 fails.

3rd edition had that rule, but I guess it was more math, so they dropped it.
Remember, D&D isn't war gaming, it's fantasy. And it's non-Euclidean, because if you shoot a flying griffon 100' vertically and 100' horizontally away from you, it isn't 125' total (Pythagorean theorem) use the ground measurement only. Ignore height, it's easier that way.
