You are so smart to take those pictures. I look back at pictures from hikes I didc30 to 40 yrs ago and it brings those memories back. What a scary bear encounter
Bears! You story reminded me of the PCT trail between Rainy Pass and Stehekin. During the day we scared a bear on the trail and he disappeared in the trees. At the campground that evening, we were told to hang up our packs because a bear was hanging around the campground. So as we were looking for a suitable limb to hang the packs, we heard a noise behind us a saw a black bear sending my brother in laws pack tumbling. We yelled, the bear took off. He had swiped the pack so hard that the aluminum fuel container was dented! Set up the tent, hung the bags, and headed to bed. I stacked some rocks by the tent in case I need some ammo. That night, we heard the bear outside the tent. It was pitch black. I jumped out of the tent in my whitie tighties, grabbed some rocks and started throwing them and screaming. Not sure if I hit him but we could hear him running off. It was truly a “candid camera” moment! Thanks for telling your story…..it reminded me of mine.
That was all magnificent my friend! You are an incredible artist in an amazing place. I enjoyed every second of this video but it left me wanting more.
Jack Much to take in watching this video. Bear scare, 32 miles, 7000 ft of elevation, coldest lake ever.... Although it's almost over the 5 P's still on full display. Prior, Planning, Prevents, Poor, Performance. Nicely done my friend. Eddie

Those pics are gold now it’s amazing to be able to run back through them and live the trail

Learned them from you my friend! I like that motto!
The Sierra? You got that right-the most beautiful place on earth ( unless you are standing in the northern cascades).
Exactly Cathy, the northern cascades are very under appreciated
It's hard to label anywhere the most beautiful place on earth if you haven't seen all the beautiful places on earth lol
@@burnsidebobthorpe very fair lol *most beautiful I've seen*
