@@BlackoutCreatively Dude, I think you should explain this animation from start to finish for those who don't know blender at all. I'm sure many people are trying to do it. I've been looking for a decent video for days but I couldn't find it. I don't know the blender program at all :(
Is there a way to make the the calculate to frame go faster? My animation is around 1500 frames and its taking around 10-15 seconds every time i have to add a paddle or change something in the scene
Ultimately it's going to come down to your PC and how much processing you can throw at it. Make sure you're using the simplest of colliders on the scene - eg, avoid using mesh colliders. Just use box and sphere. If you're already doing this you could periodically bake the simulation to keyframes and then animate the 'animated' setting on the final few of the most recent bake (just like you did at the beginning) and repeat the process as often as you need
@@BlackoutCreativelyhi there thank you for your response I have 3950x 128gb ram n 2tb nvme so i guess my pc is fine, Secondly instead of using complex pallets (which i will use once animation is baked) I decided to use simple box , so up until 30 pallets everything works fine but as soon as i add new platforms everything changes, sometimes in the beginning, sometimes in the middle , so i am not able to finish my project, if you can give me discord or email And help me with it, that would work for me and im okay to pay any fees , but its important

@@BlackoutCreatively Fine. In your example the note has no rotation. You make a dummy, animate it and, roughly speaking, mirror the animation to any note. My note is at an angle. And if I follow your example, then the note moves relative to global coordinates, not local ones For example, my note is at an angle of 90 degrees. And it is animated not in the direction of impact. And down
@@rtur_kotin okay so basically you have a platform that's impacted from the underside, so instead of it moving upwards like in the tutorial, you want it moving in its local Z axis, but no matter how you rotate it the platform aligns to the world coordinates? Assuming the above is correct, what you can do is make sure you're rotating the object in "Object Mode" with the Z of the object facing the direction that you want. Next you want to create an empty object for each of the platforms that dont align to the animation. next you need to put the animation that you made onto the EMPTY that you made and NOT the platform Next you need to add a transformation constraint to the platform, and target the empty as the object, and change the owner to local space with extrapolation. Then map Z->Z 0->1m on both from and to.
Hey! I tried to recreate your simulation in blender ,but there's one problem I play the simulation it looks great then i want to add another platform for the ball ,but then the whole simulation changes and I have no idea why. I just added another box why this box interferes the whole scene?
Have you tried applying your transformations? Control A. Then select the transformations you wish to apply. It might not fix it but it is worth a shot if you haven’t already done it.
@@violettracey I tried it already that use to be the first thing when I’m adjusting the scale of rigid body object I don’t have a clue what could be the problem though I tried so many settings but it’s seems like it’s a bug

What I'd suggest is to identify the exact point in the tutorial that you're following when it stops working. Eg, when did it work, what did you do before it stopped working.
So the reasons that it would be behaving like that which I can think of are: * You've animated it to move upwards * You've for some reason inverted the gravity * Your rigid body is starting inside the collider of another object Id suggest start with a fresh scene, delete literally everything, add a single sphere and add a rigid body to it. That should fall. Then add your blocks to bounce on

@@animalslove4662 you either parented the camera to the ball, or parented the empty to the ball. Nothing should be parented to the ball. Or maybe you did the wrong constraint. Needs to be 'copy location' not 'copy transform'

hello friend, great video, I'm trying to learn but I have some difficulties because my English is not perfect, do you know if this type of video can be monetized on tik tok?
Not one thing about this tutorial works as intended, and before you say "reset the scale" or "reset the timeline to zero the calculate" or any of the other suggestions mentioned I have tried them and they don't work. Even the first few seconds of the tutorial where you show the ball bouncing on the platform does not work with all the settings and scales exactly the same. The only other thing I can think of that may be contributing to any of the issues is the scene scale not the object scale, or the units/unit scale. But other than that I have no idea what else I am supposed to do to get this to work.
I know about active and passive rigid bodies, I have put an active ball in above a passive block and yes the ball falls. My point is I have followed the tutorial word for word movement for movement and the results are not the same
I'm not asking you what you know, I'm asking you what you've done and what you're experiencing. Okay so the ball stops when it hits the block but it doesn't bounce?
Fair enough, no, it doesn't bounce, not unless I move it up ridiculously high from the platform. And that's with the same settings you have. And then when I move onto the next bit the initial force and subsequent bounce between the two platforms (again putting them where you have them) is slower and there's no bounce. Getting ahead a bit I know.

@@BlackoutCreatively Dude, I think you should explain this animation from start to finish for those who don't know blender at all. I'm sure many people are trying to do it. I've been looking for a decent video for days but I couldn't find it. I don't know the blender program at all :(
@@KomputerDelisi I totally get that. And if I get time then perhaps I'll revisit this video but cater for people new to Blender

Is there a way to make the the calculate to frame go faster? My animation is around 1500 frames and its taking around 10-15 seconds every time i have to add a paddle or change something in the scene
I am having same issue, did you manage to fix it?
Ultimately it's going to come down to your PC and how much processing you can throw at it. Make sure you're using the simplest of colliders on the scene - eg, avoid using mesh colliders. Just use box and sphere. If you're already doing this you could periodically bake the simulation to keyframes and then animate the 'animated' setting on the final few of the most recent bake (just like you did at the beginning) and repeat the process as often as you need
@@BlackoutCreativelyhi there thank you for your response
I have 3950x 128gb ram n 2tb nvme so i guess my pc is fine,
Secondly instead of using complex pallets (which i will use once animation is baked) I decided to use simple box , so up until 30 pallets everything works fine but as soon as i add new platforms everything changes, sometimes in the beginning, sometimes in the middle , so i am not able to finish my project, if you can give me discord or email
And help me with it, that would work for me and im okay to pay any fees , but its important

My “notes” are turned under. And the animation occurs based on global data and not local ones. How to solve this problem?
You'll have to be more specific - I'm not quite sure what you mean.
@@BlackoutCreatively Fine.
In your example the note has no rotation. You make a dummy, animate it and, roughly speaking, mirror the animation to any note.
My note is at an angle. And if I follow your example, then the note moves relative to global coordinates, not local ones
For example, my note is at an angle of 90 degrees.
Next you want to create an empty object for each of the platforms that dont align to the animation.
next you need to put the animation that you made onto the EMPTY that you made and NOT the platform
Next you need to add a transformation constraint to the platform, and target the empty as the object, and change the owner to local space with extrapolation.

@@fulopdomotor Sorry. I hope you are able to figure it out.
You need to make sure you "calculate to current frame" or play the animation from the beginning otherwise the simulation won't be accurate when you add another platform. Gotta do this on each and every physics object change
@@BlackoutCreatively that’s what I did. I think you didn’t understand what is my problem maybe because my English is so bad but the problem is when I replay the animation to see where should I put the next platform I add the platform and the simulation just changes and the ball falls down on the second platform the whole simulation has a totally different outcome. if I could send you a video about my problem that would be great.
I have a question I want you to answer. How to make it so that when the ball touches the cube, it will glow. I'm just starting out, I hope you answer.
You need to keyframe the emissions material
First of all it's completely an awesome video, I appreciate it! But even I made all the settings exactly the same, my sphere is not bouncing where it is. It just stick to the cube. It can rolling any directions when the cube rotate but not bouncing. I would be grateful if you help. Thank you.
Did you make sure to change the size of the ball very small? Bigger balls won't bounce as much
It works! I didn't think the sizes effect that much in rigid body. Thank you so much. ❤

@@VenciMladenov4 so instead of moving down with gravity, instead it travels upwards?
@@BlackoutCreatively yeah idk what I did wrong
So the reasons that it would be behaving like that which I can think of are:
* You've animated it to move upwards
* You've for some reason inverted the gravity
* Your rigid body is starting inside the collider of another object
Id suggest start with a fresh scene, delete literally everything, add a single sphere and add a rigid body to it. That should fall. Then add your blocks to bounce on

@@kevinjiang101 I suppose in theory you could automate it. But you would have to find a way to read the f-curve at a specific magnitude, calculate to that specific frame, place a new collision object and repeat. I tried to use f-curves before with animations like this and failed because the audio is very chaotic so it was hard to isolate the beats, but if you use a simple sound like the track in this videos then maybe it will work better

I cannot set up the camera follow the object😢
All you need to do is have an empty which has a "copy location" constraint on it to the ball, then you parent the camera to the empty. So click camera, click empty, ctrl p. Now your camera will follow the empty which will follow the ball
@@BlackoutCreatively i tried but the camera rotates according to the movement of the ball and it is not stable🥲
@@animalslove4662 you either parented the camera to the ball, or parented the empty to the ball. Nothing should be parented to the ball. Or maybe you did the wrong constraint. Needs to be 'copy location' not 'copy transform'
at minute 2:45 of the video, after animating and pausing. I'm doing the same as the video, but my animation freezes at the end of first base. she doesn't fall like yours...
I've redid it several times to see what I'm doing wrong, but I can't find the error! do you know what i could be wrong?
Okay so if it freezes you might have forgotten to add a keyframe when you until the animated box. So the process is: tick animated book, hover cursor over box and press key: i. Add keyframe on ball for location. next move timeline and move ball. Add keyframe on ball position and then untick animated box and hover over and press key: i once again to add a keyframe
@@BlackoutCreatively I redid it exactly like this... but it wasn't. Maybe I'm doing it in the wrong order, I'll do it again! Do you have instagram so I can send you a photo?
@@ricardojunior9930 You need to make sure you have an "Active" rigidbody on the ball, a "Passive" rigidbody on the platform, and make sure that in the scene tab the "Rigidbody World" is enabled. Make sure your playhead is set back to the beginning of the timeline and it should work.
if not, id suggest that you take it one step at a time. add just a ball with a rigidbody and just play the animation and see if the ball drops. do it one step at a time and see what point it fails at
@@BlackoutCreatively I tested it, it keeps jumping. when i put the first frame it stops working. In the video you cut some parts, I was confused about it. In the first frame you teach, you must put 1 first. ok?

hello friend, great video, I'm trying to learn but I have some difficulties because my English is not perfect, do you know if this type of video can be monetized on tik tok?
Not one thing about this tutorial works as intended, and before you say "reset the scale" or "reset the timeline to zero the calculate" or any of the other suggestions mentioned I have tried them and they don't work. Even the first few seconds of the tutorial where you show the ball bouncing on the platform does not work with all the settings and scales exactly the same. The only other thing I can think of that may be contributing to any of the issues is the scene scale not the object scale, or the units/unit scale. But other than that I have no idea what else I am supposed to do to get this to work.
Okay so let's keep it basic. You add an active rigid body on the ball and a passive on the block. You press play - does the ball fall or stay still?
