This was stupid.
The plot lacks plausibility and characterizes those of us who use a wheelchair for mobility as being helpless but also possessing super abilities. Personally, as someone who uses a wheelchair for mobility and who's coached Paralympic and Olympic athletes with exceptional human abilities, I find this film to be embarrassing. Whoever directed this movie is clueless about the lives and abilities of those with a physical disability. In my humble opinion, this movie most likely will set back the public's perception of those with a physical disability back about 60 years. Oh by the way, Ricky Bobby already used the stabbing a paraplegic in the thigh trick in Talladega Nights movie 18 years ago. Come on, try for something a little more original than copying the work of another Director's film work.
Did you miss the part about it just being a comic book? By the way without copying other artists and film creators there would not be any modern film makers. Tarantino is the best example of using "homage" to the point of plagiarism.
Come on now, it is just a story like so many movies in the theater. In no way whatsoever did it make me feel any different about people with disabilities. A person that has a disability and does nothing for themselves is considered helpless but people who use a wheelchair for any reason is far from being or considered helpless and you should know that yourself.

I would be surprised if any of the story was true - being a person with a disability myself like was mentioned in another comment, this is embarrassing- unless you really know a person that has a disability, and that created a comic featuring a “wheelchair assassin” don’t go there, please.
