    Great video! It helped me understand how to access the back side so I could replace my fresh water inlet valve, and hand tighten it properly.

    Anyone else had issues with the PEX crimps used on flex lines? This video showed me that there are several of such behind this panel. I have already had to change out several PEX crimps to adjustable clamps. What a blessing to see behind this panel before having to deal with it ... THANKS !

      We haven't had any issues. Not sure why they say not to do it but we were able to repair the leak and haven't had any issues since the repair. Thanks for watching our video!

      @@unhurrieddays using the wrong crimp on the wrong material will cause leaks. pex fittings don't belong on flexible tubing.

    FYI guys
    I had the same trailer with the same issues. To make life easier unscrew the top screws and bottom wood screws behind the control panel. Then just turn the whole panel and everything is exposed. I replaced the hot and cold fittings for the shower also as they looked a little suspect.

      Oh thanks. That’s what we did/showed in the video. It’s our tip to viewers to do the same in case they ever have to access it again we set it up to unscrew it easier next time.

      Never mind guys finished watching it and you got it. Wonder why the MLE’s are configured this way and the others are not?

      Not sure how the others are setup. This is our first. We love this unit so much. Perfect for the 2 of us.

    I was successful removing the 4 retaining screws behind the panel using a mini ratchet. I have replaced the city water inlet with an upgraded brass threaded model. Also replaced the outside shower faucet like you guys did with all associated cone washers. I did a 1 hour ISLT verified by a new inlet regulator/ gage. When I remount the panel I’ll ensure the fasteners are accessible from the front so I’ll never need to go in from behind the panel again. Thanks for the example. I’m going to install a pressure accumulator on the discharge of the water pump next to compensate for temperature induced pressure increase from the water heater and to dampen pump oscillations. Happy RV’ing

    Appreciate the vid; we have the same rig; going forward make a door from the inside of the trailer next to bed. And you will have access to everything. I use a 45 degree for water spout

    • @unhurrieddays
      @unhurrieddays  10 месяцев назад

      Nice thought. Since we already got into it and created it so we can access it by hinging it down it’s easier access than from the side of the bed. But it would have been considered before we made the adjustment had we thought about it.

    I hooked up my water after using it on several trips in the spring adn summer, nothing leaked. I had to hurriedly hook it up in the driveway here for unexpected guest and when I hooked up my water, I neglected to hook up my pressure limiter. I hooked up the city inlet, accidentally left the lever on fill and overflowed it. After I overflowed my tank and it ran across the floor from beside the bed. After emptying the tank using the 12V water pump - I hooked the hose up again and had the leak - again across the floor. Having seen this - I will remove the panel and do the same trick with the 2X2. Access to that will be important - no, critical I am certain - in the future. I love my MLE22 XLS - but that design was ill conceived! THANK YOU for making this video - now this weekend I need to fix mine AND I KNOW HOW!

    • @unhurrieddays
      @unhurrieddays  10 месяцев назад

      I’m so sorry that happened. The pressure regulator is definitely key. I thought it was just important to ensure the pressure didn’t force connectors apart. I didn’t think you could over fill your tank. Did you find out exactly what went wrong. I’m glad the video helped in some way.

    Thank you for all your help. A clamp is leaking on same waterline behind panel/faucet area in front of trailer. What clamps would be best for this issue? Looks like they used crappy clamp bands on everything.

    • @unhurrieddays
      @unhurrieddays  4 месяца назад

      It depends on what you’re working with. You could use Shark Byte or Pex Clamps. Sorry for the delayed reply.

      I was told do not use PEX crimps on flex line. Use compression clamps.

    Came from the same place, on my 2021 17MKE. Faucet was so slightly cracked, at the " factory mold line" on the threaded area. Replaced faucet.

    We have a leak on opposite side of our MLE 22. It leaks when water pump is on. It comes into rig under closet. Figure we have cracked or broken line. Trying to figure out how to access it.

    • @unhurrieddays
      @unhurrieddays  10 месяцев назад

      I can see that. Did you find out how to get to the leak? I’m not sure what’s under the closet except the vent that’s right under the drawers

    So I’m attempting to remove this panel on my 22MLE to fix similar water leaks. There are 4 screws to remove (2 top & 2 bottom) all are Extremely difficult to get to. How did you get them out??

    • @smalltownpicker
      @smalltownpicker Год назад

      Time stamp 1:33 you can see he’s working from the side. Remove that small panel and just work to get in there. It wasn’t easy which is why he made the fix in case there’s a next time. You have to get behind there to unscrew it

    • @williamsullivan7177

      Gotcha, I was in that pass through storage for about an hour today. I’m in Peoria, Az and it was 110. I got 2 of the internal mounting screws out, but 2 are remaining. As you know it’s difficult laying on your side and only able to work with one hand in that space. From your video, I was under the impression there was only one screw on top and easier (relative) to get to. I have 2 on top and 2 on the bottom and they are difficult to reach. I will try again tomorrow with a mini ratchet. If and when I get the panel loose I will make repairs similar to what you’ve done. I will also make modifications to allow screwing in the panel from the front. From my research, you’re the only ones who have accomplished this feat. Thanks for the information

      @@williamsullivan7177 definitely only work on it when it’s cooler. Right now might be good. Just use light. He said be patient. It’s slow because he did it one handed and could barely turn it before adjusting to turn again. I hope you get it. Also put a fan in there with you. Airflow will help keep you cooler

    • @williamsullivan7177

      Thank you, I’ll keep you posted. I have leaks from city water inlet connection (internal to panel - not hose o ring) and as luck would have it - the same outdoor shower right faucet handle. I’ll leave pressurised to checks for other leaks like you guys did. Thanks
