People who bash Abyss Glance, have to understand it's better than the SMG by "Range" if not then go for SMG, i've been maining this weapon since it was available to be bought. Learned how shit it is but also saw how it can shine in certain situations. It's annoying to play but satisfying to pull off properly with that 50k+ frost dot (Mid all elem build w/ bullseye + deviant). I personally just switch to shrapnel if there's status immunity to deal with and vise versa. Either way any weapon works wonders if you know what you're doing. This Abyss Glance on the other hand requires dedication, skills (to do weakshots) and a REALLY godtier substats to shine, so i wouldn't recommend it on anyone with little to no patience. Personally i just like doing non-meta builds and it's AK come on.
Absolutely loving this video. Well done! Quick question, kind of unrelated, do you play 16:10 res? When I was watching, it feels like your resolution you play on is 16:10 stretched? Like 1728x1080. Also love the music. Reminds me of Ghosts of Paraguay
The difference of heavy duty bonus is that 8% you will always have it , bug 4 shelter only when you have all stacks you will start doing more dmg , for pvp i rather go 2 heavy duty just for the hp and element bonus,so bad the kam sucks at pvp , but atm anything that's not bomber sucks at pvp .
Also Chest - Doyen's Cloak - 8k starchrom though but you didn't go over that. Im guessing its better than the Frost Tactical Vest since it increases damage of last vortex by 50%
Doyen is really bad for AK in my opinion, its overwise the frost tactical vest for the damage with the ice spikes generation or the Walker vest for the crowd control, i prefer the walker vest because its good for solo content and crowd control, it put ennemy in center so you enjoy the passive of 200% damage with ennemy in the center of the frost vortex of the AKM
Yeah i think tbh smg is better on dps, question of gameplay, u need to get closer with smg, play crit rate, but smg is way way better in pvp ; AK is very funny and decent damage
they added "Frost Vortex Bonus DMG" stats on mods and "Frost DMG" so i swapped those out in replacement of Status DMG and Element DMG and it definitely does way more damage. currently at like 20% Frost Vortex Bonus DMG. really excited to see what the new update will do with merging mods. I wish the Abyss Glance had a little more durability for running things like LEA or longer Prime wars but can just use the mechanical hand for repairing it.
Did they reduce the Glance fire rate? Or is there some kind of bug I have, cause It seems so slow, I had this build for the longest time, and its way slower than yours in the video and IDK what it is. Making me so frustrated
@@Matt_G_Productions you need to change your calibration if your fire rate is slow. Youre probably running Heavy or precision, you want to get Rapid Assault, which OP also doesn't have, but talks about getting.
@@Ecks520I feel you for sure, however I’ve been running the exact same setup as you, and my fire rate changes speed, like they broke something. I’d go down and get revived and my fire rate would go back to normal fast like yours, just curious if you happened to have that happen to you
@mattgproductions4654 I didnt post this video. I have a similar build to dexteR. You want to look at what your weapon calibration is on the abyss glance for fire rate. If you feel like it's too slow you can always swap to the DIV SMG Icy Rain which also has Frost Vortex. You will get increased fire rate for shorter range.
I dont understand it. My weapon is +10, full shelterer set +6 all armor parts +6, same deviant, same mods with a bit lower stats and all i can reach is ~12-16k DPS. Am i playing a different kind of game or something? o.O
Are you talking about your damage with the deviant or without ? Because mine is a 5/4 pollar jelly (so its increase damage of frost vortex +36%) Mods are really important with both status + elemental sub stats, the damage against normal ennemy will increase that aswell, The calibration of the weapon really important aswell
@@KyuzoGM Hum very strange, u should be around 8k at least with the pollar jelly on, how much skill rating is your pollar jelly ? check carefully if your weapon is calibrate well, the mod are on place, try to replace it
@@dexteR-AT1 Oh yeah, everything seems to be on spot and exactly the stuff that i need for the exact build. Its the 3rd time in following builds and i endup underperforming by a huge difference. Im near 800PSI, status damage boost is around 80% with Elemental rolls on mods at around 4-6% on every mod. Weapon is calibrated to +10 except that i havent found a proper "Calibration mod" for it yet with the Fire rate and Elemental Damage rolls as substats. But i doubt that would be the issue behind me underperforming by almost double ^^. Any thoughts?

If u do pve content nope, i mean the gun isn't garbage, maybe the Abyss Glance will recieve a buff in the next patches, who knows
