- Опубликовано: 3 июл 2024
- For the twelfth episode of Telekom Electronic Beats TV’s Blind Test series we dug deep into 90s Trance music (Thanks to Milton Bradley for providing us most of the 12s)
Guessing the tunes are Ki/Ki, Varg, Job Jobse, Luca Lozano, Mama Snake and Trance Wax.
Please note that this video is not filmed in real time. It’s edited to create some tension so that you in front of the screen can guess as well. It doesn’t say anything about how fast the participants recognised the track etc.
All contestants receive one point for both artist and title correct, but only half a point if they can only guess the artist or the title.

"Its Ben klock - Sub Zero" For jævlan, allmost had my coffee sprayed on my laptop there! hahaha
Wow Varg he is so edgy
Was thinking like huuh... What did i just hear him saying 🤠🤣
KEN BLOCK
I like when he said it's a Swedish House Mafia while "Stella" was playing... What an adorable jackass :-D
@@grandmasteryoda503 Nice Sunglasses 😝😝
Don't ever stop with these series!
indeed!
I would rather they stopped actually. How can these tracks in any represent trance music in the 1990's?
I concur
Amen!
@@superstardeejay2468 what?
Old school trance is gonna make a comeback. Be ready
That would be the best that can happen for the 'rave' scene
already happening. renaissance are big on re-releasing some classics with new remixes. pete lazonby's 'sacred cycles' has been retouched by adam beyer for example. bonzai are running are series of re-issues as well these days.
Spot on!
Acid is finishing up it’s re-spin. OG trance is next.
Already is in Scandinavia
RIP Ramin 'Brainticket' Naghachian (March 2021). Thanks for the sublime sounds
Trance gets reviewed... FINALLY!!
This series is a global treasure for electronic music fans. It has reminded us of old classics, as well as introduced us to entirely new dimensions of music. Please, please keep it going, (at least until this wretched pandemic is over, lol). Danke!
👏
Varg has never heard any of these but absolutely loves every one of them :)
That’s the beauty of the Blind Test 😉
@hoppy303 I noticed that as well🤓
I never heard about Varg as well.
@@casamontana saw him live last weekend, probably the greatest live set I've experienced, completly free from all preconceptions of genre and mixing but insanely danceable
@@casamontana varg is fucking amazing
I almost spat out my coffee when I read how many people in the comments almost spat out their coffee
Stop with the jokes, almost made me spit my coffee out!
:-D
Some proper OG trance here. Trance you could easily slip into a proper 140bpm techno set. Love it.
Thank you guys for your work and appreciation to artists who are not shy to participate!
👍🏻 Everyone participating deserves utmost respect
Wonderful, the TRANCE of the 90s are masterpieces that will last for eternity in the ears of lovers of this style, I grew up with these sounds, they are eternal. I love trance
Yeah same here! This is exactly what got me into electronic music which I still love to this day. I remember all but one of the songs here although I forgot their titles. Great stuff. I think I want to put on one of those Trance Nation CDs now.
@@vrc7net i love trance/tech-trance ,but im very picky with the specific type i like ,lot of samey CRAP out there IMO but the few gems out of the ore of the genre makes it worth it
Whoever edits these does such a wonderful job
RIP Mark Spoon from Jam&Spoon :(
I want some more 90's Trance Classics
The atmospheric sound on Pete Lazonby “Sacred Cycles” is a sample from Genesis “The Fountain of Salmacis” (1971).
Trance - best thing that happened to music industry!
yesss!
Music is magic.
Feels like 1980-2000 is the best time to be alive.
nope....exactly 10-20 years earlier to be precise
This is the real TRANCE! I love these tracks since the time of "Dream Dance Alliance"! Hello from Russia!
Blind tests are my favorite thing on internet, thank you @Electronic Beats!
I love 90s early 2000s house/techno/trance music. Glad I grew up during those times.
I love this format, never stop! For someone who is 20 yrs old, it opens a new world, love ittt!
Golden years of production
Great selection!!! Best Series for Dance Music Culture!! Goosebumps on all these tracks!
Best episode so far!!! Exactly my kind of music back in the days. Absolutely amazing!!! 😍😍😍
My favorite episode yet! My favorite genre of music from the best time of it. This is amazing, please more 90s trance!
4 Voice ... Pete Namlook... RIP
I knew that sounded like a Fax release!
@@JurassicTrance Yeah. Ya can't mistake Petes awesome engineering skills for anything else. Fax stuff can be played on real high end expensive stereo gear and sounds freakin awesome all over again. Fax stuff has some of the greatest clarity i've ever heard in electronic music and i've been in the thick of it for 35 years.
Guys make sure to add this on the playlist! Your Blind Test series is best what RUclips has to offer on the music front right now. Thanks!
Amazing, please do more of this. Let’s bring back the real trance music.
Thank you guys.
Released for my lunch break. Perfect.
Song selection - perfect as always.
Video edit - Out of this world, again.
1:13 - Subtle moments like this tells me (us) how even the editor enjoys working on this series.
Danke sehr!
Universal Nation / PUSH. I kicked myself on the back of my head a few times dancing to that one.
Universal Nation - Push is always the best Belgian dance/trance track. Whenever a radio channel does like a best dance top100 of something. It Will ALWAYS be Universal Nation on nr 1
I'm 41 now and these tracks bring me back to a time that was so fun and exciting. Trance is what got me into edm and DJing and even though I'm not really into modern trance I still love the old stuff.
Knew Job Jobse was going to smash this one. Great DJ.
Brilliant, and thank to Mama Snake for bringing home some points for Denmark
love the blind test episodes. love them all. compliments for the idea. always cool. always nice dj's and always cool selection of the tracks. ciao !
This hit hard ... lovely jubbly ...2024..
I miss TRANCE sooo much! Thank you for this!
Need more of these with Trance. This was a great episode 😎
I love this series especially for finding songs I’ve never heard before
One of the best short music based series online!
I remember hearing a few seconds of Stella on some dance chart a long time ago - maybe on MTV - literally made my way to the nearest record shop to buy it. Bought both the original R&S and the Remix EP. The original and Moby remixes have been a favourite of mine for decades now!
Two of the best ever: Love Stimulation by Humate, and Stella by Jam & Spoon.
Agree
The Stella song by Jam & Spoon kind of sounds like Osborne remix of Sun by Virus
I'm blown away only half knew push - universal nation. One of the all time trance classics
So many beautiful tracks there ... on half of them I got instant chills on the very first note, and so many "OMG I know this one, damn how is it called AAAARGH!"
There was no such trance in any point of time afterwards, and never will be. Thank you for this incredible voyage through time!
Wow!! Best episode!! Every track is a diamond!!
damn 90s had some nice sounds
Every track is an amazing classic! I got every track within 5 seconds, it was like digging through my favorite trance collection! I would to see a classic acid and classic rave blind test 😉
I LOVE these videos, literally the best content on RUclips
What a lovely memories and feelings, connect us forever. It's still a beautiful subculture.
So many choons from that era. Truly classic trance
Growing up and starting high school in 98, I listened to the trance station on digitally imported and most of the songs played in this video brought back a lot of memories.
Very good list ☺️
My youth!!! Love it soo much!
Thanks a lot. I really liked this episode!
I thought I didn’t listen to trance this much, but I scored a 6,5 out of 10.. perhaps I do. Also, ki/ki is bae.
Damn, a new episode with Varg on it. Made my day!
FINALLY!! More trance ones please!
Ohh yees, 90's trance :) thanks for that episode!
Never been a big fan of Trance, but i remember buying a record in the early 2000's and the Right and Exact remix of Universal Nation - Push was on the B Side. Was blown away. Incredible track
Loved he Ferry Corsten remix
Plays actual trance classic; "Nope never heard this one, must have been big in Germany not over here"
Legends are that people tried to put Universal Nations on the Trance Classics top 50 but it was so big it didn’t fit.
I actually spat out my drink when he said that
I named that track after 1 second! The ultimate classic of all trance! My no.1 favorite trance track of all time! :)
@@DJ_TideWave and the best is if you play this track on a party and pull down the fader in the middle part, everybody goas wild screaming, then pull up the fader slowly till the "whoo!" hits and it drops, everybody goas nutz. great times man.
Seemed like he was obviously joking
Thank you so much 💕 all tracks so cool and emotional 😊
very good selection of tracks!! thx for the throwback...
FINALLY my prayers...i mean requests have been heard!! :D
Thanks so much for the trance episode. I've actually gained 6.5 points here - almost like Job Jobse, but couldn't remember the Sacred Cycles artist name! AMAZING episode, please make more trance blind tests!! 💙
What an absolute fine collection of classics. Would love to see an episode with Bryan Kearney. He knows his oldies! :D
love that such strong producers are in this
EPIC EPIC EPIC, this was a good video to my soul. 90´s trance is just something magical.
I didn't know the titles, but I've recognized every single song after the first two notes. That was the sound of my youth before I was old enough to go to clubs and got hooked to harder techno in Frankfurt.
So many comments from people not subscribed to our channel. Come on guys 😬
What the hell is this guy Varg doing on this???? Guy knows nothing. Just dressed up trying to be individual and stand out. Original eh. Embarrassing.
cause your channel is becoming hot trash by the minute...joking 🤣
@EV Pffft
@Ross Mitchell He liked every single track. That's what counts 😉
All of them are Incredible!!! tracks.
Thanks for reminding
trance was such a happy music i loved trance back in the 90s and and still love it these days
I don’t know much about electronic music but these ID the tracks videos introduce me to much more music
I would like to see a blind test for Tuvan Throat Singing from the 90’s next
KLF - Dream Time in Lake Jackson would be a top hit there!😅
...the 1890s, that is.
@@shane54nz played on wax cylinder
great mix of contestants, much enjoyable
we want more!! i love this!!!
Jam and Spoon - FOREVER!!!
Wow!! That is some quality track selection.. specially round7!!
How could they not know these!? All foundational tracks
Love the Blind Tests of the Styles of House and Techno
There is nothing better than Trance 💜
#ilovetechno
"This is Ben Klock - Subzero" literally had me crying with laughter. Varg, we don't deserve you.
Great episode! I’ve been looking for #9 propably for the latest 15 years, so thx!
Great selection!
Got most of the tunes on vinyl...
Loving these times. 💖
I feel that 2020 with covid and everyone home for the most part made people explore the internet and come thru to the Classic/progressive trance genre. Either brought back nostalgia to the people that grew up within that scene or brought a new light to the younger generation. I hope that something major happens in marketing the classics to the masses and we get it back in full swing.
They will be playing Universal Nation when the universe ends. What great memories.
Everyone goes WHOO at once
Fantastic series ! Keep it on!
Fantastic selection of tunes
I watched every blind test series before, couldn't get more than 1/10. Here I got 5,5 out of 10. Is it enough to be called a trancehead now?😄
Nope 😬
The dubstep and Deep House episodes were mine. I didn't know any of these but still enjoyed watching it :D not a trancehead at all lol
All tracks are from the first and second wave.
I got eight right, did not remember the name onf one very familiar song, and found a new song (the ninth) to love.
I'll wait for the real trance episodes 😇
Whoooops I thought the second track was a remix of Kaycee - Escape. Thank you for educating me once again, Electronic Beats ❤️
This was soooo great. Big tunes which have to be played in the future
Erinnerungen. VIELEN LIEBEN DANK...FRIEDEN und FREIHEIT...
The first Blind Test where I have most of the records my self :D
Is that good or bad? 😊
@@ElectronicBeatsTV It probably means that I was listening to a lot of 90s Trance :)
🏆
Did Varg just sip a Capri Sun?? I fuckin love this guy lmao
Absolutely great.
Can't believe they didn't recognize the tracks immediately!!! Wow memories!!!!
Universal Nation! 🔥
4 voice - eternal spirit was a track I was listening as a child, never knew the title and now suddenly It hits me like a nuclear blast from the past. Amazing melodies for an amazing easy going decade.
You are not alone! Same same feeling here 🤯 This Blindtest series is the best of the best that you can find in the whole internet....
i first heard that melody from old Stephan Bodzin's Escape and thanks to that 1998 track i went back and check out the original. instant gratificiation!
There was a big cheesy remix of that track titled something else, maybe Titanic, that was a bit more eurodancey IIRC. That's probably what you heard as a child, and simply remember the melody.
Kaycee - escape is maybe the version that is more popular :)
@@thortreves6544 I didn't know about this. This is a little more Euro-trance for my taste, Scooter-esque I could say 😁
I like this episode so much. First time I know every Track in the first second.
awesome. cant get enough!
The brilliance of van Dyk comes through in his "Love Stimulation" remix. My Trance top 10.
This episode revealed a track that meant a lot to me from way back but I never knew the name. Thanks, Ramin. Sorry it took me this long to find out who you were.
he sadly passed away this year , true pioneer , check ruclips.net/video/YH4iUkcSn7E/видео.html and also ruclips.net/video/q7eYMC7O8iU/видео.html
