I love watching these! Unfortunately when we were in South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia we did not see a single leopard! I guess that's a good excuse to come back! I'm so impressed with how well the trackers do their job! These videos always bring me back to my favorite places. Thank you!

That's why they're so special to see when you can actually find one! It's not hard to find an excuse to come back, but that's a good one. May you have all the luck in the world on your next trip!

Hi @terrylee9196 - most of the leopards in the sabi sands will be named, although this sighting was a little too obscured and fleeting to get a positive ID. If there's any leopard ID gurus out there, you're welcome to try your hand at identifying this one!

Good stuff ! You make it so much fun !!! It turned out alright for the Leopard probably a young male , He can get some energy to sustain him to hunt when he’s ready ! Probably at night , Is their a resident male in the area ? Possibly his son if my hunch is spot on , The wild dogs matriarch who lost her eye like you said could be so many reasons ? A sharp leopards claw may of been the culprit ! Good sighting’s ! This region has RedRoad and the Tswallo ( spell ?) two males left minus two over time , I am trying to remember the correct spelling of Chille ? The lion king who was one of four who had a snare nightmare and from the sidelines had lost his status , He healed and lost a brother to TB and his brother who took his leadership role he eventually teamed up with ! Last time on this channel I remember Chili ( 😂 Can’t recall his correct spell’n of his name ?) But you know who I mean !! He was not seen for a period and had he been back to date 10/02/24 ? And his brother the only other is okay ? The dynamics there have gone wild and crazy in recent times , So many big alpha looking lion kings moving in , Love to know their status Kris ? Thanks for the fun informative journey on this day Safariing ! If you get a chance it would be great if you could let me know! Stay safe out there ! Kevin .

Awesome interactions captured on film, but please don't fluff out the audio track with an English woodland overlay (the common chiffchaff calls give it away) , we already have the MGM lion with tiger vocalisations giving too many people the wrong impressions as it is

Hi @SA_tank thanks for the views! If we do need to put some ambience behind any footage, 90% of the time we actually use audio that Harri herself has gone out and captured in order to be true to the region, making sure you're authentically transported onto that vehicle with her! If we really can't find the right sounds for a section we'll resort to stock audio, but only if we can be sure its also from the region. Please let us know which time signature you heard chaffinch calling, and we'll check it out. If it is audio from elsewhere we'll make a note not to use that clip again. Thanks for the feedback!

@@andBeyondTravel from 00:00 it's a blackbird with a common chiffchaff calling immediately after that before 00:01, the chiffchaff name being onomatopoeic. At 00:35 there is a chiffchaff followed by a chaffinch. This audio track has been used a lot throughout the whole video, but these two instances with 3 non-african species should help isolate what to remove.
