Thanks for watching and your comment Iain !
That is some fish!!!!!😮😮😮 I have done sheet metal fish in the past and it is a lot of work. I even made a fish with a wire frame and a bottle or a rock for the body. Your fish has so much character. I was afraid that you were going to run out of sprockets. I sure wish that you were my neighbor so that we could share talents together. You have great skill and you do quality work.😀😀😀 I just made a dog memorial plaque. I bought a program but a lot of the lines were to thin; I like to have them at least a 1/4". If they are to thin the plasma will melt it. I painted the front plate black and the back plate white. It has a lot of detail and looks nice. There are bolts that hold it together and then it has straps to bolt it to the fence. You always do a great job on the video and the art project.👍👍👍👌👌👌👌😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😎
Thanks for you comment Alan! Yes the Fish worked out well!

Thanks Tiffany !
Badass!
Thanks!!
2024- I would love to see how you do the mouth and a bit closer up on how you are creating the body anything you would be willing to share? I am in Washington state United States trying to do some salmon sculptures love the work that you did. Great job!
Hello Brain,
thanks for watching my video!
I would love to explain everything to you and show you how I made it.
Unfortunately I only have the video, the fish has been sold, but if you look closely you will see that the base is made in the beginning, then all the gears on top of it one by one.
The mouth is based on a steel wire.
Good luck!!
Now I see why you grind the lines into the fin. I tried this without grinding and the weld just spread like hot butter. I see how you hide a majority of the welds now doing this. I couldn't as I cut up thread rod and welded it. I wanted a striped bass, but it got so ugly, I turned it into a catfish.
Yes, that’s the way to do it!
And a Catfish could be very nice 😅
Nice 1😍😍😍👌👍
Thanks for watching!!
Awesome
thanks Patrick!
@@BrutusMetalArt my pleasure..are you selling your art ?
I have my shop on Etsy, brutusmetalart.etsy.com some of my creations are there for sale.
@@BrutusMetalArt how do I find you there sir?..edited i see .. thank you hope to purchase some of your art
Brilliant work .can I ask what steal rod do you use for the frame. Am new to this but itching to have a go ..thank you ged
Hi Ged,
thanks for your comment! The rod I use is just what I can find, in this case it was an old BBQ rack :-)
Beautiful, did you make the base?
Thanks !Yes, you can see it on the video.
Hi brilliant video very helpful to this 63 year old beginner 😂 Can you tell if the wire frame used for the body outline is chrome plated or stainless steel or something else? Keep up the great work.
Hello, never to late to begin, it’s wonderful to make objects from wast metal!
The wire frame is chrome plated.
Good luck 👍🏻
So technical question: when I read about welding, some metals are easy to weld and some require more skill and different equipment. For a beginner how do I choose metals which I can most easily weld?
Thanks for watching!
If you are a beginner try thick Mild Steel first, practice , practice a lot and experiment with other materials!
You’re so cute! Great work!
Thanks Esther🙏🙏
Great video..
Thanks again for watching :-)
P. S. Is it a fychicle?
Nice work...cann you please telme who to crear coat a sculptures and what the best aerossol clear coat? Thankyou
Thanks for your comment Angelo!
If you want to protect something with clear lacquer, you must first make sure that the object is clean and free of grease, it must not be too cold.
Then spray with a good brand of clear gloss lacquer, it does not matter which brand.
Good luck!
Thankyou regards
Amazing! but pls, for me - on a piece of wood or - better yet - on a river stone:))))
Thanks for watching!
Yes a stone looks great!
Thank you I make some money
From Thailand
Thanks for watching!
Are you using a gas mig welder?. I noticed not a lot of sparks or spatter.
Thanks for watching Pete!
Yes , I use a gas MIG welder, it’s smooth and clean !
Have a nice day.
Прекрасная работа, у меня вопрос тиски доработанные или заводские ?
Sorry I can’t read your message, please in English?
Fantastic!
I'm so glad I found your channel. No criticism but have you thought about using a rock for the base?
Best wishes from Scotland
Thanks for watching my video’s!
Yes a rock would be nice!
@@BrutusMetalArt you're welcome, thanks for making them.
Soapstone would make an awesome base. Easily sculpted with woodworking tools. Easily found in the raw state just laying on the ground in the Shenandoah Vally in Virginia. I sculpted vessels from this stone. If we could connect I would be willing to send you a sample.
Grandios
Thanks Karin !
Hi all, I have wristwatch spare parts. What would I use to bind them together and bend them to make a miniature sculpture?
I think the best way is to soldering the small (copper or brass) parts.
@@BrutusMetalArt thank you, I'll look into it.
What is the spray you use on the metal art!!!!!
It’s a normal clear coating, two layers, works well!
do you just use mild steel mig wire for your sculptures or stainless???
I use mild steel 0,8 mm
Thanks for watching!
Wow
Thanks for watching!
It's great. What machine did you use to do the solder joints? What is its name? Thanks 😊
What are the pliers you used to bend the wire to curve it called ?
Can you tell me the moment in the video where I use the pliers?
13:00 they are right below the anvil
Those are shortened circlip pliers.
Thanks really appreciate it !
You can auction that fish
Thanks, first I want to look at it :-)
He must have taken a 150 days to get it done
150 days no, but a lot of days Yes! Thanks for watching!
Amigo qual é o nome do maçarico que vc usa ?
Hello, I don’t know,it’s a standard blowtorch.
Thanks for watching!
How many hrs total?
Hi John,
I don’t know how much exactly, but at least 30 :-)
Have a nice day.
hi👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks!
Maaaaaaaaagnifique !
Bravo
Pouvez-vous me dire qvp pour faire un moule de demis bustes de femmes combien de mètre de bande de ruban il me faudrais ??
Bien cordialement Elena
Hello Elena,
thanks for watching! I don’t know what you mean woman’s breast mold, please sent it in English.
FANTASTIC!😍Now that really IS a fish! Top work fella. 🏆👍
Hey Huey, thanks!!
Maestro, que bonito trabajo, sos un genio 😃
Thanks! Thanks for watching!
I suppose you can use galvanized metal to do this as long as you grind the area and just spot weld in well ventilated area because the fumes are toxic.
Your wife must be thinking... "where are all my forks?" Is that stainless?
Yes we have to buy new ones:-) The cutlery is stainless.
great
Thanks!
Holy Mackerel !! That's amazing - you have a lot of skill (and patience). Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching and your nice comment!
