That is some fish!!!!!😮😮😮 I have done sheet metal fish in the past and it is a lot of work. I even made a fish with a wire frame and a bottle or a rock for the body. Your fish has so much character. I was afraid that you were going to run out of sprockets. I sure wish that you were my neighbor so that we could share talents together. You have great skill and you do quality work.😀😀😀 I just made a dog memorial plaque. I bought a program but a lot of the lines were to thin; I like to have them at least a 1/4". If they are to thin the plasma will melt it. I painted the front plate black and the back plate white. It has a lot of detail and looks nice. There are bolts that hold it together and then it has straps to bolt it to the fence. You always do a great job on the video and the art project.👍👍👍👌👌👌👌😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😎
WOW 😮 WOW 😮 WOW 😮 WOW 😮 Absolutely amazing and gorgeous. An absolute work of art. Unique and beautiful piece too. You are a true Artist. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags ❤❤❤
I suppose you can use galvanized metal to do this as long as you grind the area and just spot weld in well ventilated area because the fumes are toxic.
Thanks for your comment Angelo! If you want to protect something with clear lacquer, you must first make sure that the object is clean and free of grease, it must not be too cold. Then spray with a good brand of clear gloss lacquer, it does not matter which brand. Good luck!
Still not got to the end. Bit this has got to be worth in the 100 thousands ££$$ Wow the vision, the skill. what more can i say. Are there any superlatives that match this ability. Thanks fir sharing. And winning the unofficial challenge.
So technical question: when I read about welding, some metals are easy to weld and some require more skill and different equipment. For a beginner how do I choose metals which I can most easily weld?
Now I see why you grind the lines into the fin. I tried this without grinding and the weld just spread like hot butter. I see how you hide a majority of the welds now doing this. I couldn't as I cut up thread rod and welded it. I wanted a striped bass, but it got so ugly, I turned it into a catfish.
2024- I would love to see how you do the mouth and a bit closer up on how you are creating the body anything you would be willing to share? I am in Washington state United States trying to do some salmon sculptures love the work that you did. Great job!
Hello Brain, thanks for watching my video! I would love to explain everything to you and show you how I made it. Unfortunately I only have the video, the fish has been sold, but if you look closely you will see that the base is made in the beginning, then all the gears on top of it one by one. The mouth is based on a steel wire. Good luck!!
Soapstone would make an awesome base. Easily sculpted with woodworking tools. Easily found in the raw state just laying on the ground in the Shenandoah Vally in Virginia. I sculpted vessels from this stone. If we could connect I would be willing to send you a sample.
Hi brilliant video very helpful to this 63 year old beginner 😂 Can you tell if the wire frame used for the body outline is chrome plated or stainless steel or something else? Keep up the great work.

Hi all, I have wristwatch spare parts. What would I use to bind them together and bend them to make a miniature sculpture?
I think the best way is to soldering the small (copper or brass) parts.
