A little tribute video to our beloved Pan Am stewardess. Vous allez nous manquer, Colette :) Music: Musette - 2 Mars / 3 Februari The Magnetic Fields - Nothing Matters When We're Dancing
I purchased the full Pan Am Season one about two years ago, and still watch. What a shame the networks couldn't allow good, "clean," entertainment to continue through this series. What to say about Karine but so classy and talented. One of my all time favorite lines.. "you smell like whisky and cigarettes..., and you smell like Paris." :) Cheers to a wonderful show that paid tribute to one of the most classiest airlines ever to operate. Just like the airline, gone before its time.
I completely missed this show though I was peripherally aware of it. I was surprised to learn, now it being late-July of 2019, that it premiered almost _eight_ years ago. Amazon has the entire series for $10 which is a real bargain for something as rich as this amazing show is.
specially if you have been in Paris in the 70s and you know what Paris smells... Rotten Fish and Garbage bins and thats not a joke unfortunately. I am happy the Parisennes have their garbage problem fixed in the meantime
Karine was absolutely perfect as Colette. I weep at the thought that we will never get to see her portray this nuanced character again. Anyways, this was lovely. Thank you for putting it together.
Not just any .. But the anthem's version during Nazi Germany. That's why it was so cringy. The words had been already softened by the time of her singing.
Well… it’s been 10 years since this video was uploaded. A great tribute to Karine Vanasse who was so excellent in this role. Hard to put into words, but I don’t know how any man could prevent himself from falling for her character. Sweet, smart, sexy.
he was my favorite of all the four! the nice, naive, yet smart type is something i like very much. too bad the show is gone. hope to see it on cable someday.
Merci Karine!
This was a much better show than people gave it credit for. It suffered because it was compared to Mad Men.. JUST because they both took place in the 60's. Secondly, it was on after Desperate Housewives which was in it's final season and nobody was watching that show by then. Finally, it was on opposite season one of Game of Thrones. Meanwhile, ABC sucks.
You're welcome. I thought I'd make a sort of goodbye tribute, because this show introduced me to Karine and I met some nice people in the fandom. Now I'm just looking forward to whatever projects they do in the future :)
As a child, she would have been forced to learn it by the Nazis. After the war, the anthem was changed slightly to make it more suitable for peace time, but the version she sings talks about how Deutchland should rule over all and basically take over every country on the planet. So her singing it made things a bit awkward!
Please translate! 😊 portuguese to english: Ela se forçou a cantar o hino!

She carried a trauma from her childhood with regard to the Nazis, and singilng the German anthem was an attempt to 'treconcile' herself with the counry and with the Germans, including an effort to make herself agreeable to them, singing for these two kind Germans.' I'm not sure I agree. She sings the Nazi version of the anthem and does so with great intensity to drive home what she thinks of the people who killed her parents. It is a sensational moment. Karine's mastery of languages is formidable.
It was Hitler‘s national anthem as she was forced to learn as a child growing up in occupied France at the time I didn’t know what it was either so I was a little shocked and awed to see that nobody was clapping for her since she had a beautiful voice.
Does everything have to be about Germany all the time. My grandfather lost 3 brothers in the war and he served himself, my mother and grandmother mentioned it. But no one would have insulted the average German, maybe crack a joke or two about Germans over a life time, and a good laugh at the Faulty towers German skit.
This show is about the generation lost everything and slowly rebuilt their lives while they grieved and overcame fear and depression. Two world war so close together would leave everyone suffering and living with real trauma for the rest of their lives xo

My favorite French woman. She smiles with her beautiful eyes.
Besides being so damn cute she's a great actress.
Bring back the Pan-Am tv show!
She's québécoise by the way, not french! 😊 You can tell in her accent.
@@AmedeeBoulette Half half.
she really was absolutely stunning in this show
Loved the Pan Am series. I had a girlfriend named Karine. She was French. Many years later, still miss her.
She's simply beautiful, classy, and a talented actress. How I miss the Pan Am show, so much potential, yet discontinued long before it was time.
the stories were interesting but the dialogue was terrible
Karine was absolutely perfect as Colette. I weep at the thought that we will never get to see her portray this nuanced character again. Anyways, this was lovely. Thank you for putting it together.
Hearttouching.... She is a true beauty
Thanks for posting...I miss Pan Am AND the Pan AM show!
I was quite surprised while I watched Colette sing the Germany National Anthem, it has a lot of meaning inside.
Not just any .. But the anthem's version during Nazi Germany. That's why it was so cringy. The words had been already softened by the time of her singing.
Colette was a Jew who lost her family to the Nazis as a child. She would harbour bitterness to all Germans.

Nice post, thank you... A great series, wish it could have lasted and what a beauty she is.

don't know why i put he. i meant to say SHE!
SHE was my favorite stewardess out of the four of them.
It's 3 Februari by Musette. Music has always been very important for me, so I really appreciate your comment. Thank you!

It was a shame they pulled the plug on the show too soon. It was getting better and better with each episode
Thank you for elaborating. As a non American, I just could not figure out why. This show is magical.

beautiful clip, thank you so much!
Je t'aime, Colette.
She is do cute. No wonder Dean fell in love with her.

Just like the Romans and the Greeks did?
Or the French?
Or the English? Or the Russians?
Or like the Chinese want to do?
@@pxtokarev lovely
The fact that you don't understand the words of the National Anthem just shows your ignorance not your knowledge.
Make more of her other movies. I love this!
I'm gonna miss PanAm!
Your gallery is amazing. I don´t speak english but you are awesome, I'm a big fan from you and Karine jejejeje hugs!!
I don't know why this was canceled this was a great show are you heard
Me gusta mucho como actua karine en esta serie.
Super!
Meanwhile the actress tweeted that the show was cancelled before it was supposed to be announced... oops.
At 5:00, the outfit she is wearing has to be an homage to the stewardess uniforms in the first Airport movie (1970). The colors are exactly the same.
Loved the whole cast I’ve just watched the pilot Margot is my wife fav actress at moment
Llorro desconsoladamente, excelente video, love Karine Vansse, thanks for the great video =D
She looks a lot like Dana Delany (China Beach)💙
There is certainly a strong resemblance, particularly in the way they have her hair cut & styled.
Glad you like it :) Would love to make some of her movies when I'm not so busy anymore.
I agree with you.
I had no idea that Karine Vannase is on Revenge ...
Great video! The scenes matches perfectly with the music! :) Could you tell me the name of the song that starts at 4:50 minutes?
Najlepsza scena całego sezonu!! 3:10
man...who wouldn't fall in love with her?
me too.
You're very sweet, thank you :D
Thanks for the correction :)
So sorry this is my damn phone I don't know why the show was canceled it was very good I heard it was very expensive do you make
Ah...was written above and i have not seen! xD
Yes me too ;____; And you're welcome!
She's the absolute doubke of Alison Mach
Like +++++
Love her when she's not overacting
What? Overact to the Nazis?
I thought Colette would have made a better purser than Maggie. She seems more stable and rational. Her or Kate.
I don't know I don't
i never understood the thing about her singing the national anthem... what was it about?

Not really, no, she didn’t try to please them. It was a rebuke from the get-go.
I give the f****** up. Trying to to leave a comment
uber alles
