It/s interesting and relaxing to watch, thanks. I follow some dairy farmers but if I come across other types of farming I watch it sometimes. I like seeing the food I eat being produced. I went whole food-plant based for health and it fixed a bunch of things for me. I'll eat many starches and non-starchy vegetables as well as fruits. Wheat, black beans, oats, kale, carrots are just some of what I eat a lot.
Those big combines are really impressive. My neighbor has 5 combines. I know at least 3 of them are JD X9 1100s. Watching them in a corn field is impressive. They had 5 grain carts running with them. 2 2500 bushel & 3 1500 bushel. They combine a quarter of corn in about 3 & a half hours. With our setup that takes us 2 1/2 days.
Hi .. and thanks for the comments. This cash cropper is harvesting 8,000 acres. It's all about speed and efficiency for them.. they just traded a brand-new 9250 for a Class 8700... faster and burns 7 gal an hr. less....
