The NBA needs to realize that any schlub who cant jump(like me) can shoot a three pointer. Not many people can sky through the air and dunk, thats what we want to see. The things we cant do.
The NFL warned the NBA about this, and the NBA continued to thumb their noses at the NFL during the summers by saying the, "The NBA is a yearlong sport, nothing beats it." This was because of the free agency and player movement kept the NBA in the media cycle and that gave them a false sense of hope. Roger even went on record and said if push comes to shove, the NFL will consider playing on XMAS and eventually they did. NBA can have their best matchups and the NFL can literally air the Jaguars vs Raiders and still beat them in ratings.
the NBA lost its way a while ago. Refs calling horrible games, Non stop absolute nonsense techs, uncalled travels. And just chucking up 3's the whole game. It hasnt bin fun to watch for a long time now.
The problem with the NBA is espn, Nike and clutch Sports. I grew up watching the late 80s, the 90s and the early 2000s basketball. When it was on NBC it was an event. When is on ABC / ESPN is a put-down all the players show and the players really don't want to play because of Nike and clutch Sports
NBA saying Christmas rating was so high is like when an apartment is on full fire, they cover up the windows, put out fire on the lobby n say everything is fine. WE ALL KNOW NBA SUCKS
You are bugging sir!! The league is definitely not more "skill based", it's based on Lazy ass millionaires with huge egos and no dedication!! These guys job is to play a game, but don't treat it like a job and more of a game. You shouldn't have to hound these men to do their job as Professionals!!
The league definitely isn’t more skilled. Imaging getting beat up every possession on offense and still dropping 20. You’ve got to be very tough and skilled to do that, now we have the superstar privilege where you must be coddled and the fans must be happy with everything you do. The players don’t care about fans nor the game, they are worried about the money and fame. There aren’t team rivalries and no uniqueness to the style of play, KD just was quoted saying I don’t mess with yall to all the fans out there and we’re supposed to watch that guy? Or much less some of these other superstar who haven’t proven themselves other than dropping stat lines because of the drop in physicality and 3 second violation.
So why is the NFL allowed to change its programming schedule to compete but the NBA cannot change its programming strategy to counter compete? I'm sorry your argument is trying to have your cake and eat it too.
