Khao Soi Noodles & Thai Coconut Cookies ● First Day in Chiang Mai, Thailand

- Опубликовано: 3 окт 2024
- What does one do on the first day in Chiang Mai? Eat Northern Thai food, of course! There's no time to lose. We head out to try Khao Soi upon a short nap to recover from the overnight train from Bangkok. Khao Soi is coconut curry soup with noodles. It is a Burmese-influenced dish also popularly consumed in Laos. We then explore the neighborhood filled with temples. In the search for fresh baby coconuts, we encounter Thai street food. Watch to see the adventure unfold :)

Fangieling over the 7 coconuts 😂😂🤤
I love that you speak the local language in every country you visit. I do the same thing. I learn the essentials before I go. I wish more native, English speakers would do the same instead of assuming everyone speaks English or getting angry if they only speak their country's official language.
The coconut cookie calls "ka nom dok jok" ขนมดอกจอก One of the ingredients is coconut cream.
it's so nice to see a fellow coconut fangirl living the coconut dream in thailand
Im so amazed that they just leave it out and trust people enough to not steal thats whats amazing in Thailand
Wowwwww you are also born on the year of the rabbit, I am toooooooooo! Fangirling so muchhhhh so happyyyy

the man who tossed the bread in the air😂😂😂😂
About that coconut meat problem, most of the places that sell coconut in India cut it open after you're done with the drink so that you can enjoy the meat :)
Wow im so jealous because Thats is my fave thai rare north dish and you have it in the original one!!!
,,Wait a second a man just tossed bread in the air" 😂 haha made my day
she really 💙 coconut.
Mina, those machines are used for fortune yes, but you are supposed to pick the Budda that is suited for the day you were born.

There are eight Buddhas and you pick the day you were born on. One of them has two which is Wednesday day and Wednesday night :D And the things you thought were numbers are the Northern Thai script! :D
Your videos are like a breath of fresh air:)
that bathroom stall was made just for u Mina! ;;) hahaha
Love those Lotus cookies! They're so yummy.
Your voice is so relaxing to listen to.
because it has all the nice tones and no harshness and twang ...
Love your smile
Mina, the guy who threw the bread in the air was for the birds because that's a tradition not only in Thailand but in Laos
Those cookies look delicious! 😋
Your skin is so pretty!!! Can you show us what product you use??
hey mina, I born same year of rabbit too.. good luck & health always..god bless & love you 😍😍😍
omg I love your travel vlogs, you both are so cute!
coconut cookie is not easily found. i also like it.
ah, that fortunetelling things.. it is base on the date you was born eg. i was born on wednesday, Febuary 1, 1984. they are 8 machines because Wednesday is separated in 2 sections, one for whom born in the day of Wednesday and another for whom born at night.
MiNaaa I am waiting for nexttt.. please
4:03 gotta love that white pegion in the asile, in the middle of the restaurant
omfg my aunt Monique makes the coconut cookies except in a flower shape!
I love those cookies My fav👍
I love your vlogs there cool
What attached me so much was Got7.....saranghe❤️
You can get those coconut cookies in Japan with black sesame seeds
น่ารักทั้งคู่เลย
in Trinidad they cut the coconuts open after you drink from it and cut a 'spoon' out from the coconut so you can eat the jelly
We just came back from Chiang Mai, we walked so much and only took the Songthaew when we went up to Doi Suthep. Walking is a great way to explore and find cool things in less known places, however did you find it really hot and tiring? We did, especially for like 6-8 hours a day. I couldn't wait to get home to soak my feet.
Born in the Year of Bunny....I could have guessed....in a good way :)
omgg I'm early...love u mina
Really good guess! For the coin and monk machine, you put the coin on your birthday. And that spinning thing you sit on, thai children play all the time. Btw, coconuts with yummy water has bad meat and coconut with good meat has bad water (bland) :)
now I'm super hungery
I feel asleep watching you every night
I love coconut cookies
Nice
I'm Thai and khao soi is my absolute favorite dish
อยู่อเมริกาค่ะชอบกินข้าวซอยแต่คนเหลือที่นี่ทำข้าวซอยไม่เป็นสักคนและไม่เคยเห็นคนทำไปวัดเลย
1:51 the lady at the back thought the noodles was for her but turns out its for mina's table😂
Yay! I'm also born in the year of the Rabbit
Are you travelling around Thailand? If you go to Phuket. I live there, but you should definetily visit the big Buddha, Promthep Cape during sunset and the beautiful beaches! Also we have Very good Khao Soi here at the Noodle House in Cherngtalay. Love your vlogs always!
welcome to thailand :-)
HELLO MISS. MINA.AND HELLO
Sorry but i seriously freaked out when u mentioned got7
hey mina-noona ;;) i have a question: what are your thoughts and feelings about what is happening in south korea and its government at the moment? maybe you can talk about this topic a little in your next mukbang ! love your videos, greets from germany ♡
the way you talked in the end sounds like tek wondo 😂
You make me hungry 😢
Are you still in Thailand? I want you to be here especially in winter. Winter in Thailand in the north part is so amazing, the weather is so nice!
But I don't know when will winter come because now it's still very hot :(
hello miss mina do u come to malaysia yet
got7 got me dead I love them soo much
I speak Thai and my mom is born in Thailand
Plot twist: the Thai slot machines at the temple are actually labeled with the days of the week because you're suppose to choose the corresponding day that you were born on (i.e - I was born on a Friday, so I choose that date). Anyway, I really enjoy your travel vlogs :)
6:38 What’s next? Coconut😄
My name is Sarah too
Hi Mina it's not coconut cookies it's Ka Nhum Dok Jok made of coconut milk , flour , sugar
It's wrong for foreigns to refer it as coconut cookies.
Go check out Marktel. My Korean friends run the place.

Can you share what’s not permitted to do there my sister was going to go to Thailand chaing Mai before the pandemic starter as a nanny with her boss she might go for a month sometime this year if things get better and she was doing research she heard that it’s illegal to chew gum and other things
I'm a south Indian and we have similar cookies where we come from.I can't recollect what it's called.
Sakshi Shriyan but we make those with maida and not coconut right?
when it said fangirling over coconuts i thought it said girls fighting over coconuts
Smart decision to carry your spoon. Other tourists carry all 3 utensils (spoon, fork, knife). Lol Anyways, you never know when you might need them. 🤷♀️🥄🍴🥥
