The english player did really well (took a great fight at the towers) before throwing his whole army away. I thought he was gonna win for a second, but then I remembered it's impossible.
IMO everything went ok untill he build longbows, especially that late which he can't reach critical mass

I'm just a beginner at the Silver 2 level but I face a lot of English mirror matches. I don't even need to scout because everyone starts out with longbows. So on larger maps I tried starting with the King and horsemen and it's been very successful. You can wipe the longbows out and heal your units up after the battle. It's easy to dent their economy early because you can just run away when the spears show up and by then you can have your own longbows on the field to deal with them. On the smaller maps MAA and longbows is very successful as well.

If he would have built another barracks and kept pumping out maa he might have won it. Early longbows are too predictable, always go early maa with English
why did you change your mind about dear stones being better than golden tree?
Trade in a bad position and would get value from trading with silver tree with cheaper gold cost, then the deficit trading without it, which you have to with mongols to keep up with other civs eco and pull ahead.

that APM metter is so bs dude, 400APM clicking the same building 100 times for nothing LOL
Yeah, I think he explains in his Tutorials, that he obviously doesn’t need 400APMs for 99% of the time. He keeps on clicking stuff at that rate, so he’s all warmed up by the time he needs to micro at a few hundred APMs.
Which - still - makes the meter ne more of a gimmick 🤷♂️
But he’s not trying to inflate some stats 😅
