Stayed here for a week, a few months ago. Most luxurious experience in Hilton, or SPG group. Like an oasis in Bangkok. Hidden rooftop champagne bar, breakfast was incredible, rooms are beautiful, shower with full views of park, even the gym is swanky - complimentary Apple wired earbuds, fruit infused water. Waldorf is my new favorite :)
Thank you sir for another warm and introspective look. More so, thank you for the close up of the hotel room, food, and the menu. Your detailed efforts and time spent in capturing the spirit of the Waldorf Astoria Bangkok is greatly appreciated.
i really miss it, too. Bangkok has a plethora of good hotels. u should also look out for Rosewood, Park Hyatt, Siam Kempenski and especially "the Siam".
Right up my alley....I find it strange these days how many hotels now have roof top pools and bars. When I started travelling almost 50 years ago...the pool was either in the basement or on level 2 and the bar was next to the lobby !! I often visit Kuala Lumpur to see friends and stay at Traders Hotel ( part of the Shangri La group) and they have a spectacular roof top pool and bar which is always busy with a great view of KLCC and the Petronas towers !! It is however fully enclosed !! The first roof top bar I ever went to was at the Library Hotel in New York some years ago and it had some brilliant views of the City !! A wonderful hotel....doubt I could afford it but in these most uncertain times what the hell !! Thanks for another great travel experience !! Never been to Thailand...I should go !! I actually went to school in Sydney Australia at the Kings School Parramatta with the now King of Thailand....haven't seen him since 1972 !!
Always love hearing travel anecdotes from a bygone era. Regards from India. P.S. might be worthwhile dropping into Bangkok and ringing up your old classmate😁
TRADER HOTEL IN KL has an excellent bar next to the swimming pool on the rooftop! I always went there after having a few alfresco drinks at KLCC restaurants and bars.
My family and I had an absolutely incredible 1 night stay back in September 2019. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a one bedroom Astoria suite - truly amazing and still our most luxurious hotel experience.
I have had the pleasure of staying here twice with a third stay planned for this year. It is a truly beautiful hotel with a wonderful and friendly staff. The breakfast is to die for. Especially the chocolate croissants. Great review as always and I always look forward to your weekly posts.
The hotel is stunningly beautiful. This is the 3rd hotel you've stayed at recently that have the roof top infinity pool, I see a trend there. You got a sunset shot, but it does not rank up there in the million dollar money sunset shot of other places you've stayed. Well done. Nice to get out of Montreal for a little while and go some place different. Hope all is well there.
Phenomenal videos, each and everyone of them. Love how you catch all the details on video and provide on screen commentary without any annoying voice overs. And your choice of serene music brings the whole composition together. Kudos also for the extra effort to video the hotel at night to capture the changes in lighting and ambiance, as well as showing us the restaurants/bars and various food dishes. Well done as always, and thank you for providing this great content! Best luxury travel channel on RUclips, IMHO.
I stayed here in the 1st week of August 2018, 3 weeks before the official inauguration of this beautiful property was to be done by Paris Hilton. Beautiful Suite and the rooms. My entire family loved the washrooms and the toiletries more than anything. Lovely place to be in. We had two suites and two rooms for six nights. Great experience. 👍
🏢 Very nice hotel & room (03:20 - 12:10) . Excellent airport transfer (02:00)👌 Excellent foods (30:13) . In my opinion, the restaurant and breakfast section were very similar to the Armani Hotel in Dubai, but with a different decoration (32:25) 🍽️
Beautiful hotel with a lovely color scheme. The room and view were both gorgeous. Thank you for sharing your experience. This is definitely a bucket list contender.
The bar stocks Boodles Gin. Well played, Waldorf. Well played. I think the two cousins, William Waldorf and John Jacob, would be pleased with their Bangkok namesake. Thank you for another great tour, Dr. LTE.
Amazing Hotel!!! Your videos are definitely the most detailed and complete ones ever!!! Thanks, Thanks, Thanks for all your efforts! Have you visited the Rosewood too? 😘
Such an amazing place. We stayed at the WA in New York a few years back. Watching this video took us back to that time. Thanks for sharing this; great video!
We stayed at the Waldorf Astoria Bangkok a week after it open in 2018 and found it to be absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately, The Front Room restaurant with Chef Rungthiwa has since closed. The Front Room with its 10 course tasting menu was an amazing experience as was The Loft and The Brasserie. I hope they will have replaced The Front Room with something equally as tasteful upon my stay next year. You truly captured the grandeur of the Waldorf Astoria Bangkok in this video. Thanks for posting and sharing!
WOW!! We are missing Asia these days . . . after a two month wait in Bangkok, we just headed to the US = missing our Bangkok days!!! AND THIS PLACE IS A DREAM!
I stayed here last year. The staff is very friendly and the highlight definitely is the Pool. The breakfast was good and I liked the hanging honeycomb. The only thing I didn't like was the room controls (tablet) were overly complicated. I had a suit and it took me 5 mins to turn off the lights. Also if you don't set the 'clean my room' alert then they wont do it, but again you have to do it through the tablet control. A few days I was just excited to get out to the city and forget to switch it on. The daily fresh fruits were also a nice touch.
I stayed at The Wardorf Astoria in a large 750sq ft signature suite, in New York Manhattan before it closed for refurbishment. Pure quality and class. Enjoyed
I have always stay at St. Regis every time when visiting Bangkok, mainly for its generous complimentary laundry services 6 items per day and a dedicate butler service which makes St. Regis a true luxury hotel. I stayed in Waldorf Astoria in Manhattan few years ago, but it didn’t give me the same hype.
Great review of a stunning hotel..maybe I try it next time though I love the Millennium Hilton for its proximity to the river and its stunning sunsets enjoyed on the terrace of the Executive Lounge. I missed this in your review? Dont they have one? I love the happy hours in the Conrad Exec Lounges
It looks a lot like a "WA" in NYC, I've stayed there for 2 nights 6 yrs ago and it has been great experience. 👌💯😊Hope to have an oportunity at least once more 🙂 Nice video as always Mr. LTE 👍😊
If only you could have the confidence to add a commentary rather than subtitles, your channel would be the best travel channel here on RUclips. All in all good stuff. Keep it up.
I love those hotel reviews and videos, when in Bangkok I always stay at The Oriental. The Astoria I use to stay is in Jerusalem. But gosh I haven't seen it was more than half an hour video. No way I stay that long watching a hotel. 3-5 min would be fine.
At @4:26 of the video, the subtitle is wrong. The upper lobby is at 14th-16th floor, which I cannot remember exactly the floor number. But it should be above all guest rooms.
I wish you would show Oriental Express Hotel, i think it will blow this 1 out of the picture ...even thou this hotel has some good points. I also enjoyed BaySands hotel...there pool is next world on the 59th floor ...the biggest infinity pool in the world that sits on 3 pillars. Altho all this in Singapore, would love if you can make a vid about those hotels?
A very nice video, makes me feel homesick for Bangkok. I love to walk along Rajadamri, but if I had the choice, I would rather stay in St. Regis, the neighbour hotel. My dream would be to buy a condo above St. Regis or Magnolia above WA, but I cannot afford it. Thank you for the wonderful video
very interesting lounge furniture in a shallow part of the pool 28:55 , i like views from way up high, looks very comfortable and modern...NICENESS!! / i see you hehe 11:25
You are the best travel expert I have known😎😍I just love the way you give detailed features of everything🙌🙌 Your videos are helping me to freshen up my mind at the time of this lockdown..I wish to be a luxury traveller in my life.. kudos to you xD:)
Your video capture and editing is really impressive. If you shoot in V-Log this will handle any wide dynamic range issues and use a gimbal inside a car and plane for authentic looking camera stabilisation.
If you look at the description right below the video, there will be a link to Dr. LTE's review of the hotel and in that review there should be a link to the hotel's website, where you can view the different room types and rates.

i really miss it, too. Bangkok has a plethora of good hotels. u should also look out for Rosewood, Park Hyatt, Siam Kempenski and especially "the Siam".

Another great video and a chance to forget what's going on around the world for 30 mins. Thank you.

Still watching 😂
Love it! So relaxing!

Well a hotel I must say simple and clean. For me Astoria Boracay and Bohol in Philippines was an exquisite experience nothing beats that.

since you obviously got a passion for gourmet experiences, Mandarin Oriental is still the gourmet’s best choice in Bangkok.

Your fantastic content deserves 4K! Please don't waste this potential any longer 🙏
I’ve bought a 4K camera but will only be able to use it after the lockdown 😢
@@luxurytravelexpert Great to hear that :)

Your video makes me want to book the hotel next time I visit Bangkok.
Very therapeutic, thank you for your expertise. I just wonder how long it will be before we can enjoy this again in real life.

I work at Tetra Pak, nice to see our company 👍

hi
Beautiful video. The way you capture all the intricacies is simply superb. What do use for these videos ?
Canon G7X Mark II
It looks a lot like a "WA" in NYC, I've stayed there for 2 nights 6 yrs ago and it has been great experience. 👌💯😊Hope to have an oportunity at least once more 🙂
Nice video as always Mr. LTE 👍😊
Great Video. Thank you for posting.
I don't know this kind of 5 Star hotels in Bangkok, BTW superb video Sir
Thanks a ton
Great channel! Out of all the hotels you stayed at in Bangkok, which has the best breakfast in your opinion?
Waldorf Astoria has a spectacular breakfast display (not sure though whether it is still served during the pandemic).
Looks great for sure I will stay there one day after seeing this I ❤️ BKK
If only you could have the confidence to add a commentary rather than subtitles, your channel would be the best travel channel here on RUclips. All in all good stuff. Keep it up.
wow, my favorite hotel in bangkok!!
Do you receive any type of incentive from the hotels you showcase here?
watching these videos makes me miss traveling so much love them !!
Stunning :) you have a new subscriber. Also how much on average is a day in this hotel? Thanks
Thank you for your subscription. The rate depends on the room type and season
Thanks for sharing this great video.
Heaven. Thank you thank you thank you ❤

NIcely done when filming The Loft and Bull and Bear during the afternoon sunset.
Please do a tour of the Waldorf Astoria in Orlando
Beautiful Hotel...Thanks
My favourite 😊
I wonder when did you work, sir ? Considering travelling this often 😂😂
Even though the hotel room is nicely decorated and furnished, it looks really small.
They have different room sizes. Want bigger, you need to pay for the suits. Plus this is Bangkok so space comes at a premium as in most big cities.
The larger king rooms outside of suites are $320-$450 a night. Not terrible.
You've been and seen more things than I will ever be
August 2020 and this hotel was going for ~$200/night on many websites. Is demand still low?
Beautiful video 👍
Which hotel is better? Waldorf Astoria or Park Hyatt Bangkok
Park Hyatt is more private.
Always great tours ✨ 💯
Thank you 🙌
the Luxury Travel Expert 👍🏼🤩
Fun fact: Waldorf New York is under renovation
OK the hotel on floors 6 - 16 and 57 - 60 . So what are floors 2 - 5 and floors 17 - 56 ? Business and residential ? It's very nice hotel.
Robert DeMitro It’s mentioned in the clip: residences 😉
It would be a difficult choice to make between this one and the Park Hyatt...
Great music too.

Yes

I am at home indeed 😉
very nice design.

Depends on the season and the room type
