I’ve had a pair of twins for 5 years and they still hold up, really strong, leather gloves. I spar in them, hit the bags with them at least twice a week and there is no rips in them. Just simple wear and tear. I believe the next gloves you’ll get better then these would be Reyes, however you would be paying double the price 👍
Wow, I knew my twins 16 oz gloves looked excessively big. That side by side comparison with the Winning gloves (aka pillows) says it all. Great review.
great gloves,i got mine 2003 still using them very heavy use(5 days a week sparring twice a week) for first 7 years with very little to no care other than cedar bags to keep them dry in side, bag work, sparring, boxing, muay thai, mma sprawling and doing push ups with them on....the palm area all tore up now but 15 years and still going there my go to glove i still use them for bag and mitt work...the fit is tighter than a windys glove but i fill like my hands are protected because of that ...best 65$ i spent on a glove
Twins are very good for sparring, especially if you want to protect your hands and not hurt your sparring partners. I'd say Windy is a better training and bag glove though.
so in this case are these particular brand of gloves twins okay to purchase from Amazon I see that you have a link so you must trust it I've always wanted to have a pair of these gloves plus I'm wanting to know if they're good on the bag and if they're good for large hands my hands go about 9"in all the way around
im like 99% sure these twins are fake, if i recall correctly real twins dont have a plastic patch it is embroidered. you can visibly tell these are fake. amazon sells these.
I know it's years later what do you advise for me i'm currently 200lbs but i'm going to add muscle so i'm going to bounce around 200-220lbs should i get 16oz or 18oz gloves i would appreciate some feedback.
+Fit2Box Channel thanks again, would you compare them to feeling like an amateur glove? I know the weight will be different but in terms of padding,is it more dense, soft or completely different?
If you are doing pure boxing, you might want to go for the long cuff options twins and fairtex provide. They tend to be a bit closer in shape to boxing gloves.
Hi idk if you’re still active on this account but I see some of these gloves (the ones u ordered are black and gold) where the logo on the wrist is black and red and some where it is white and red like these
Fit2box what about the twin special lace ups ??? There in Japan China etc They use twins in pro boxing .... I'd like to see a review on that . . Then compared them to a winning or rival or some other boxing gloves to see what are the difference
Hi, I am looking for some new gloves for pure boxing. Richt now I am about a pair of twins BGVL3. Unforunatly I dont have any local shop providing those, so I can put them on and try. I have pretty large hands (not thick fingers but long) and people say the Twins are pretty tight and that could be an issue for me. Whats your experience with that and the white colour? Thx for response.
16 are fine aslong as you don't beat the living shit out of each other. The padding is extremely forgiving once broken in. I weigh 265 and use 16oz's for sparring, 18/20 are comically large
I personally do not recommend these gloves for boxing, they do put a lot of pressure on the knuckles when boxing frequently, a lot of padding but it doesn’t curve with the hand it lays flat over the knuckle. So if you’re using for boxing get something else, like winning or fly.
Rani Killuminati ∞ it depends if you're strictly a boxer then definitely cleto Reyes I do Muay Thai and so I use twins mostly for sparring and mitt work
I haven’t tryed loads of Muay Thai gloves but I’m being told by viewers not fairtex the fairtex bgv9 I have reviewed were sleeker than the twins I tryed but the bgv9 are boxing gloves not Muay Thai gloves Fairtex Muay Thai gloves are apparently huge As I say Muay Thai isn’t my sport or area of expertise boxing is my field
@@Fit2Box I got the fairtex bgv9s (Mexican style for boxing) and they are huge asf. General concensus is that fairtex are large and twins or top king are for smaller hands (think thai people, their average height is around 5'5)
Funny how gloves are like shoes....Ordered a pair of 16 Twins Special....got in mail and as soon as i put them on felt a sharp pain on my right hand knuckle like a knife point....Took off tried on my old gloves (Reyes), (Title), (Everlast)---NO problems...Put Twins on again---same thing...I returned them for a refund...Ended up buying a pair of 16OZ Winning Gloves---WOW----The BEST gloves ever, it is NO HYPE at all---Better than ALL other brands....Dont know what they do at Winning but they feel the best!!! BUT everyone has their preference....Twins are nice gloves but the padding does not work for me...
Just the Twins padding rubbing on my knuckle.....don't get it with Winning, Reyes, Fighting Sport.....weird....I think Twins are too tight inside for me....The padding is too much....and it hits the knuckle exactly where it is not supposed to...the left hand didn't do it though....oh well....
F F weird?.. I didn't have any problems like that Check out this weekend a Winning custom glove challenges the current Fit2Box Velcro Champion sabas SUPERSOFT for the belt👊🏼👍🏼
Im thinking about buying these for my first real muay thai gloves, same exact pattern and everything, would you recommend them? Im trying to decide if these or the fairtex microfiber leather but I dont know how well they would hold up compared to real leather like the ones in the video (I spar once a week and train everyday for about 2-3h)
lamealex17 I’ve not had any of the fairtex microfibre But for durability you won’t have any worries re these twins A pro at the gym is still using these gloves now- this video was done quite a while ago now👊🏼👍🏼
Luisito Rodriguez I just got some Fairtex gloves. There rather small no grip bar and you can feel a lot of the impact on your knuckles in my 12oz gloves. There probably better for actual boxing than bag work.

Yes Twins are very durable gloves👊🏼👍🏼

twins 14 oz and Mar 14 oz are my favorite gloves for sparring with my very large hands, cost me about 60 to 70 pounds a few years ago..

If possible could you do the twins special bgll1. They are fantastic from what I hear. I recently ordered a pair of 14oz, still awaiting them.
Twins are very good for sparring, especially if you want to protect your hands and not hurt your sparring partners. I'd say Windy is a better training and bag glove though.

16oz is fine if you are doing heavy sparring go 18oz
between the cleto reyes and these. Which do you think is better?
I want them to spar and hit the bag
I prefer Reyes

Can you also reccomend these gloves for boxing? I weigh 195 Pounds and wanna order 16oz for sparring?
Yes definitely
Cool man, thanks for reviewing them. I have bad hands so I'll definitely get them. I would get winnings but they're too expensive.
+Fit2Box Channel thanks again, would you compare them to feeling like an amateur glove? I know the weight will be different but in terms of padding,is it more dense, soft or completely different?
What d be a good option among thailand made gloves for boxing training?
Thank you
Twins fairtex

I absolutely love my twins

***** Lets say I am 6,1 and a Cruiserweight. I already have a pair of 16 oz for sparing. I ready to spend about 100 $/€.
***** I am loking forward to but, where I live it isnt that easy to find every brand to buy.
What oz should you use for Sparring and Heavy bag
Ahmad Dhanish what’s your height and weight?
Any hand /wrist injuries/weakness?
Fit2Box 142 and no hand injuries
Ahmad Dhanish I’d say 14oz 👊🏼👍🏼
Fit2Box Thank you
I weigh 244 is 16 oz good size for general training (pads/spar/bag)?
Yes or even 18 or 20oz to spar in
You are a big guy👊🏼👍🏼

Cleto Reyes or Twins?
Rani Killuminati ∞
For me CLETO Reyes as they are a pure boxing glove where as twins are more designed for Muay Thai gloves
Which is best for someone who wants to become a UFC fighter?
Rani Killuminati ∞
I would say twins as they have the extra padding at the rear of the hand to cushion back of hand against kicks👊🏼👍🏼
Rani Killuminati ∞ it depends if you're strictly a boxer then definitely cleto Reyes I do Muay Thai and so I use twins mostly for sparring and mitt work
pro mma fighters spar with winning gloves: Daniel Cormier is an example.

Fairtex Muay Thai gloves are apparently huge
As I say Muay Thai isn’t my sport or area of expertise boxing is my field
definitely not fairtex. Fairtex is very roomy inside once worked in properly, Twins and top king would be better for small hands.
