ADA-Accessible Playground for All Abilities Opens at Encanto Park - NewsFeed

Phoenix Parks and Recreation recently opened a new ADA-accessible playground at Encanto Park, providing a safe and inclusive play space for children of all abilities. The playground, located in the heart of the park, offers a wide variety of play development through swinging, sliding, spinning, social spaces and sensory play.
The playground also features a communications board - an effective way for non-verbal, speech-challenged and early-learning individuals to communicate with friends and caregivers. This interactive tool promotes social interaction and inclusivity among all children.
This playground was made possible in part by a $72,650 donation from the Kiwanis Club of Phoenix and their associated community partners sharing similar service missions with all community members.
