    Hej August och Larissa!
    I think this is my very fist comment on RUclips ever, but I couldn't resist: I love your videos!
    Portuguese here, living in Sweden (North of Stockholm) since 2012... It has been an adventure also for me :)
    I've just binge watched all your videos on my "fredagsmys" and what a nice time you just gave me. What an inspiration!
    May all the best energies and health give you both the strenght and patience for your journey - I'm pretty sure it wil be worth it - Portugal is needing new blood and ideas, so thank you and congrats for selecting Portugal as your new home - While I think we are the most previledged people for sharing our lifes with the two most beautiful Countries in the World :)
    Your videos are amazingly edited and produced. Larissa's laugh is so coooool! Keep going budy!!!!!!
    I wish I could met you one day. I wish I could help you somehow also with anything, since I have living knowledge in both sites :)
    Tack för att du delar med dig av ditt äventyr! Jag hoppas att din musikaliska kreativitet blir ännu bättre.
    Med vänliga hälsningar!
    Muitas felicidades!

    Now you need to build a suspended ceiling under the rockwool to prevent to breathe the fine particles of fiberglass.....🙂I have an old house with wood ceiling and I covered all the ceiling with same rockwool and it made a huge difference in the temps in the winter...no so much in the summer .....

    • @tranquiloaugust
      @tranquiloaugust  Год назад

      I am trying to figure out the best way of covering it up. I’m thinking about actually putting up a layer of XPS to both cover it and add extra insulation. Our roof is a sandwich roof so it has both rock wool and sandwich panels. It’s really good in the summer!

    Won't this keep the house Warner in the summer also?

    • @tranquiloaugust
      @tranquiloaugust  Год назад +1

      Good question! The idea is that it will actually keep the house cooler in the summer. The insulation doesn’t warm anything up in itself but works to keep heat or cold out or in. In short, it works to help the house keep its temperature. :)

      The cool air will not come up from the basement unless I am missing something like you have a creek running under the house and this would cause humidity.

    • @tranquiloaugust
      @tranquiloaugust  Год назад

      @@ckfs1 Sry, not following, do you mean that the only reason to insulate a crawl space would be if you have a creek running under the house?

    • @ckfs1
      @ckfs1 Год назад +1

      No in our basement it is much cooler in the summer and that would make the floors cooler upstairs. But if your basement is wet it would make it more humid and you would feel hotter. So I was wondering about the water seepage in your basement. Is that the reason for blocking out cooling in the summer. Summary very interest in the climate their. Thanks
