How can i increase map`s patch or cell size so when i work on field i see more detailed terrain? It is to smooth out jagged edges when creating a field for example.
no there is no way that i know of to get a perfectly smooth round edge, and no settings in the editor to adjust the block diameter or pixel of a brush.. the best you can get is using a round brush and "zoom in close" (very important... ) with a small diameter brush (size 1 will do), then brush your edges from inside the field, if you go over use the right mouse button (subtract) and brush from the outside.. this always creates a good edge, never perfectly smooth though, for straight edges use the square brush and block paint, this time using a large brush..
How do i get rid of the red "inner map" on your blank 2x and 4x starter maps? new to giants editor and still learning.. if you could do a video, please and thank you very much
Hi there, welcome, i have almost 600 videos on mapmaking.. Just check my video playlists, there are some amazing content under the fs22 mapmaking playlist. Like the one how to create the PDA, this will show you how to remove the red in the map.. let me know.. ruclips.net/video/PxRQXcXJTQU/видео.html
Is it possible to increase the map detalisation to avoid such an ugly soil texture aliasing, when cultivating or plowing on a non straight sections of fields for example.
@@Cornholio yeah that's exactly what i meant, it's bothering me so much that i only do animals in game, a bit hay, grass, silage, and then further manufacturing(pies, clothes, etc.) maybe I'll try woodcutting, it is done pretty well in game
sure my friend, in my channel is a playlist called FS22 Mapmaking.. there are hundreds of videos to help you.. If you want to learn much more on my Patreon i have a full Giants Editor Mapmaking Course, in there we make a 2km map from start to finish (which is in the game, called Imvani South Africa) but here is a video on the PDA, enjoy :) ruclips.net/video/PxRQXcXJTQU/видео.htmlsi=4F-na7RShrQJP7l4
Every time I hit a snag and looked for a solution. FarmerBob always has a video on how to fix or do it 😃 This time I wanted to only make grass fields for the NPC's. However, when going in the game, they plant everything other than grass on the fields I have set up. I have two fields that I have setup to only grow grass with the below settings.
Ok easy, do the following.. open a new savegame, do have the mod easy development tools installed.. then in the crop type for those fields plant grass 2nd stage or 3rd stage. Whatever you want.. save the game, open th3 savegame and copy and replace the 3 density files over to your map.. fruit, ground and height. 😊 let me know if it works
@@FarmerBoBonRUclips Awesome thanks! What I ended up doing was to change two other fields with the grass mission turned on and that works on these two fields. for some odd reason, I couldn't make it work for the other two fields that I mentioned. I will try your way as well.
@@FarmerBoBonRUclips what i have noticed is that this line here "" gets deleted/removed by the game. When I have added it to every field in the map.i3d saved it and zipped it. I worked at first, but when I did open the map in Giants editor this line is gone from the fields. When then reopen the map.i3d in notepad++ the "" has been deleted. I fell like something is overwriting this just can't find the problem. I tired your way to by using the easy dev tools and copying over the density files. That is not working either.
@FarmerBoBonRUclips okay, you know when taking a picture of the map and upploaf it for the map in game, when im doing that its gets black when fixong x axel -90 and 2100 m over sky
Farmer Bob hello I’ve been following your videos for a while especially the custom meshes that I’m having a problem with the animals not staying in the mesh what am I doing wrong??
When creating the navmesh, make sure ur radius is 1.2 for cows, and leave enough space between walls and the mesh, dont take the mesh close to walls. Also dont make the mesh to thin for cows to walk on. This also causes issues. 😊 bless you

Perfect, the fieldgrassmission attrib forces the NPCs to plant only grass.
@@FarmerBoBonRUclips That's the thing, it doesn't. I get root crops instead of grass 🤣
