Whenever I play this song on my flute, it just makes me feel like I'm right beside Jack, Will, and Elizabeth! This soundtrack is amazing; I listen to it over and over.
There are movies you watch, and movies you EXPERIENCE, and a lot of the time the soundtrack is the biggest reason why. The first Pirates of the Caribbean was a movie that I remember EXPERIENCING in the theaters. I was engrossed in the world it created, and even when it was over, I remember wanting to just sit there and listen to the soundtrack over the credits because I didn't want it to end. I can just see Jack fighting with Davy Jones atop the main mast on the Dutchman, while there is a raging storm with Maelstrom in the middle. The best movie fight for sure.
The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra nails this peace. If you listen you can clearly hear the difference between the original and a real orchestra. The album where they play it is called: Music from the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy.
Reminds me of the AWESOME soundtrack of Gladiator too, amazing memories and epic atmosphere. Thank you so much for those moments you offered us Mr Zimmer !
Before someone comes and tells 'im that it was Klaus Badelt the composer of this movie, it was Hans Zimmer who actually composed the main themes for this film but because of schedule issues he had to drop out and left Klaus Badelt as his replacement but let him use the themes he had already made and Badelt composed new themes too, in the end themes made by Mr Zimmer and Mr Badelt were used but Klaus received credit as main composed while Hans was credited as a producer. I know this because on the CD of AT WORLD'S END there's a booklet with an interview with Hans Zimmer where he said this.
