I think the actor for Barbossa did a much better job at capturing the essence of a Pirate Captain than anything I've ever seen before. Saying he did a great job is an understatement. One of the best and most convincing actors for this kind of role. I wouldn't be surprised if the creators secretly built a time machine and grabbed a real pirate to star as Barbossa.
that's actually one of the key points of the film is that he's better suited as a captain than jack. Jack is too soft which is why mutiny happened in the first place
Not dissing Geoffrey Rush or his acting chops at all, he's a superb actor but you could literally pull any old regular out of an Aussie pub to play a convincing pirate.
The Black Pearl actually IS the fastest ship in the entire world(fastest normal ship,the Dutchman doesn't count 'cause she can sail against the wind,but with wind,the pearl is faster) BUT when she is cursed she is not as fast as normally.

In the movie everyone saw the Black Pearl was way behind, but to think of The Interceptor has gone far from Isla de muerta much like a miles aways, when black pearl is near, that's mean she can go much more like 10+ knots(normal galleon speed is 8 knots or 9.21 mph)

Because he's more of an antagonist to Jack's antihero. He was a dude who just wanted to feel again and while it can be argued that he is as a murderer, so is Jack. They were pirates after all.
Actually their no real vilains or real heroes in POTC when you look at Barbossa and Jack in the first movie Jack is more like the vilain and Barbossa the victim he just wanted to feel again while Jack was trying to kill him for vengence

Absolutely loves the rivalries between Jack and Barbossa. Their themes alone tells a good narrative of their personalities. They both are pretty similar. Deceitful, courageous, humourous to some extent. The only difference is Barbossa is more "To The Face" kind of guy, hence the intensified drums, while Jack is pretty chill and more playful one. They're the two sides of the same coin. Hope he would come back again by some weird magic like he does for Pirates 2. Their exchanges always brings smile to my face :D Disney, prepare *_TWO_* million alpacas please, I don't care what it takes. I. Need. Pirates. 6.

He was my favorite villain and is. He will always be. So many people just look over him towards other villains. When he died, I actually cried because I knew we would never see him again. Thank you for making this series awesome, Barbossa. Pirates life, Hector.
This is without doubt the best scene in the entire movie. The pace of action, the dialogue, and urgency in the atmosphere are so well done, and the AMAZING music seems to actually guide the scene itself, not the other way around. All of it leading up to a climactic "FIRE!" with cannons roaring and ship-to-ship combat makes it a cinematic masterpiece.

Possibly the hymn of my childhood My friends and I would watch and love the movies, play our own pirate adventures with Lego and in person outside. And every now and then when I, now an adult, rewatch these movies I get hit with nostalgia and am always entertained. PotC was the perfect age of movies. The mashup of practical effects and CGI. Especially because of the practictal effects the movies have aged superbly, especially the 3rd one (my favourite) would easily hold up as a new movie today. Potc is underrated andnin my opinion the peak of visuals in a movie

So Klaus Badelt (who worked for Zimmer at the time) was the person who scored the movie using Hans’s theme and was officially credited as the composer. This scene actually has a lot of imagery; the Pearl representing the "evil" guy, with her black hull and sails, sailing out of the dark fog, which casts a dark shadow over the water, and the Interceptor, with her white sails, and the water around her reflecting the sunlight, representing the "good" guys
Ghost 2k actually, the reason why the Black Pearl is black in the first place is because it was sunk by the "good guys" (aka cutler bekkett) but then Captain Jack Sparrow sold his soul to Davy Jones to bring it back up from the depths. He then renamed it the Black Pearl because of its blackened hull (it was originally called the Wicked Wench)

@@GoodOlRoll it is! He wrote the themes, just didn’t score the first film because he legally couldn’t bring in another movie’s contract. So Klaus Badelt (who worked for Zimmer at the time) was the person who scored the movie using Hans’s theme and was officially credited as the composer. He did a great job too arranging and marking this come to get her brilliantly.
This is phenomenal, you will feel epic in whatever you do while this is playing :)

классная тема, а 1:50 - 3:08 - вообще самый топ, один из самых любимых кусочков, он прям круто передает происходящее на экране: чувство тревоги -, что Жемчужина их догонит, что все старания были напрасны, тени сомнения и возможно даже страха, которые заполняют сердца команды на Перехватчике ; чувство , что еще есть надежда, так как эти люди, не смотря ни на что, все же храбрые морские волки, и им только нужен толчок, что бы дать все таки бой пиратам. Кадр в фильме , когда с высоты птичьего полета показывают оба коробля , а после угрожающе догоняющую Жемчужину за кормой Перехватчика, которая, словно хищник, готовится вот вот , уже совсем скоро, поглотить бедный "маленький" корабль, + кусочек с этого музыкального кусочка прям очень классно связаны между собой. Для меня он наравне с гениальной Marry me

I can imagine Barbossa enter with normal clothes and everything and after he ordered his food he'll just smile at the person on the cashpoint. XD
This scene actually has a lot of imagery; the Pearl representing the "evil" guy, with her black hull and sails, sailing out of the dark fog, which casts a dark shadow over the water, and the Interceptor, with her white sails, and the water around her reflecting the sunlight, representing the "good" guys

Ghost 2k actually, the reason why the Black Pearl is black in the first place is because it was sunk by the "good guys" (aka cutler bekkett) but then Captain Jack Sparrow sold his soul to Davy Jones to bring it back up from the depths. He then renamed it the Black Pearl because of its blackened hull (it was originally called the Wicked Wench)

This one was actually composed by Geoff Zanelli, composer of Dead Men Tell no Tales, inspired on the main theme by Zimmer.
No your wrong, on the wiki it says "credited to Klaus Badelt (with Hans Zimmer's assistance)", since when did Geoff Zanelli have to do with POTC? Dead men tell no tales maybe, but that's fourteen years after this was composed.
@@waterspray5743 Don't trust any website other than Hans-Zimmer. com when it comes to this score. Zimmer composed most of the themes, Badelt got credit for contract issues and Zanelli was involved with every single Pirates score so far, including, yes, this particular track.
