Phenomenal work on this breakdown, my mans. And I have to give to you, World's Strongest is my absolute favorite Dragon Ball movie. We got Kaioken all over the place. First time I ever seen Roshi up in the fray. TRIPLE KAMEHAMEHA, Master and his students. Gohan in the cape before SSJ status, I know he doesn't do much, but he's still so little. And the choreography, Goku versus Pink, Green and Yellow were all great. But I have to get it to you, 20+ years of watching this movie and I've never seen Piccolo's fist in Goku's eyes, that is the literal craziest detail I've ever seen in this entire franchise.
NGL DragonBall and the beginning of Z was fire because they were throwing hands like crazy. It's why I honestly think we all were soo hooked on the show
I’d always said that Dragonball Z NEVER looked better than it did in this movie, and you showed why I’ve said that. It was the detail in all the frames in this movie coupled with the choreography. It was just crazy.
People sleep on world strongest but it, Dead Zone, and Tree of Might had some banging ass classic fights and choreography before it was inundated with super saiyan transformations and world ending energy displays.
Early DBZ movies had immaculate hands, big reason why I love Dragonball and the earlier DBZ episodes. Back when it was like watching an old Hong Kong film
Dude the fist in the eyes are insane levels of detail. Those first 3 movies were on point. I remember slowing down the fight scenes in “Tree of Might” and “Garlic Jr” as well, MASTERPIECE.
When dragon ball has real fight choreography and not just 5 seconds of 1 frame punching and kicking being reused over and over again(Lookin at you SUPER!) its peak
Woke up today, clicked on RUclips and saw we had a phangitos world strongest video and it made me so happy 😁 worlds strongest had some goated choreography and this mans analysis’s are the truth and clean asf 🔥💯 thx brudda ✊🏾
Back when the choreography was actually great. Now it’s just big energy attacks and super rapid straight punches and kicks. Doesn’t even look like martial arts nowadays.
Not only was the choreography of the action scenes in this movie amazing, but through good animation and sound design the hits felt like they had such weight to them, just really brutal satisfying hits.
This is what happens when companies actually care about their product and pay the big bucks to the good animators to put out QUALITY content for the people.
The series and the movies have always shared the exact same staff. Money was never an issue either, both movies and series were always produced with the standard budget of the japanese market. The lack in quality has always been about terrible schedules and overworking. At some point the series started to decline in quality in its animation because they were pumping out TWO movies a year while having to work on weekly episodes. Again, the SAME staff. It is a common misconception to think that if they pay more, the animators will animate better. Not only that doesn't make any sense (no one does a bad job on purpose...) but also that is far from the truth. Terrible working conditions and near impossible schedules are the ones to blame.
@@TheSoulExplorer where do you get your information from? I know for a fact they used different animation companies throughout DBZ and especially DBS. That's why the animation in the DBS episides was so terrible and nowhere near the quality of movies like The World's Strongest or even Dragon Ball Super Broly. Scheduling conflicts did play a role but there is a difference in the money spent between animation companies. Obviously the less experienced ones are cheaper than the higher quality well established animators.
@@arrowofGod86 They did hire many studios to work on the series. Where you got it wrong is to think that they cut corners by paying less for unexperienced studios. Toei has always hired companies that had been around for years and have worked on many series. Even the worst studios that worked on DB, Last House and Studio Live, were veterans in the industry. Do you think that they had low rates? Their biggest problem was the culture of their country: people get promoted based on their age and/or years on the company and not on their skill. One such example is Naotoshi Shida, who had to work under the supervision of his less talented senior for many years on Studio Live. Or Tadayoshi Yamamuro on Studio Juno. So, again, Toei never held back on budget.
